Preparation of film coating suspension:

Film coating suspension was prepared by dispersing HPMC in isopropyl alcohol and then
water is added slowly to obtain clear lump free solution. PEG is dissolved in purified water to
get clear solution. To above mixture add remaining ingredients and make uniform
suspension. Coating solution is ready.
Keep the coating pan specifications as follows:

Carry out film coating of 100 uncoated tablets (previously prepared) until uniform coating is
obtained.
Evaluation parameters after coating:
Percentage of weight gain:
Initial weight of 100 tablets: 49.10 gm
Final weigh after coating of 100 tablets: 58. 55 gm
Hence calculate percentage of weight gain.
