NOISE

Dr.N.Sangeetha
• A system operates with an antenna noise temperature of 40 k and an
input amplifier noise temperature of 120 k. Calculate the available
noise power density of the system referred to the amplifier input.
• Te1 = 40 K ; Te2 = 120 K

• Noise power density (N0) = PN/BN = KTNBN/BN = KTN

• TN = Te1 + Te2 = 40 K+120 K = 160 K

• N0 = 2.208X10-21 J
