Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory

job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such
situations.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion

Unfortunately, it is not possible to take control over all aspects of life and some
people argue that it is preferable to accept their life and destiny, even if it seems
unfavorable. Others believe that hard work will pay off and there is always a place for
hope. This essay agrees that it is more beneficial to not give up, nor accept
unsatisfying outcomes.

People with a complacent mindset allow destiny to run its course. This way of
thinking can help people to accept the biggest tragedies and continue to live on by
decreasing stress and relieving them of any responsibility. For example, if a
successful businessman, who lost all of his investments and now cannot live a
luxurious life, decided to accept this situation and dedicated his life to God, it would
help him to find peace and tranquility.

On the other hand, others prefer to take control over their lives. Instead of
rejecting all responsibility, this way of thinking creates an incredible power to make a
difference. It also helps to find a way to cope with challenges and keep the mind
sharp. Taking Barbara Blake as an example, she became one of the most famous
black women in the history of the UK despite living during times of racism and
discrimination by persevering and trying to make her dream come true.

In conclusion, some people would just accept their life the way it is, because
they find the idea of destiny appealing, while others prefer to not lose hope and keep
trying to improve their life. On balance, however, I tend to agree that hope is the
strongest engine that can push people to overcome all difficulties and it would be a
mistake to simply give up.
