Additionally, I love St. George and I LOVE DIXIE!! My Great Great Grandfather came to Dixie in the 1860’s with the original pioneers, and my family has been here ever since. Five generations of my family are buried in the St. George cemetery. We love, honor and celebrate this heritage. These great people built this amazing place where people want to come, and our heritage and this city should be celebrated! If not me I sincerely hope you choose someone who LOVES Dixie! Thave served for 20 years on the Washington County School Board, where I've been the President, Vice President and a member. I was just re-elected to a 6" term there by the people of St. George. I would like to think that means the people of St. George know me, trust me and appreciate the work I have done. Since I was just re-elected, and since this opportunity for Mayor came as a surprise to most of us, I have taken great and thoughtful care in making this application for Mayor. I love my service on the School Board. However, at this time I feel I can be of additional service with the City and as Mayor. In addition to serving on the School Board, | also served for eight years on the Dixie Applied Technology College Board, where I was one of the original founding members. I served about six years on the Utah High School Activities Association Board, representing Washington County. I believe I have the background and experience to be able to serve effectively.
