1. Game: “Bring Me”


Provide real objects with a shape like a rectangle, square, circles and
triangle. Each pupil will be given cut-outs of the four basic shapes.
*At the count of three, ask the pupils to bring cut-out of shape like the object you’re
holding. Whoever brings the most number of correct cut-outs to the teacher wins.

Activity 1 (Oral)

Present a short story to the children. Read the story with them. After reading
the story, guide them to look for the telling and asking sentence from the story.

Dan saw Mang Manny building something. “What are you building,
Mang Manny?”, asked Dan. “I am making a chair.” “Wow that’s exciting. I see
you have many tools.” “What is that you’re holding?” “This is my hammer.”
“How about that one?” “That is a saw.” “And that?” “This is my measuring

Group the pupils into two. Ask them to observe you while performing the
different movements. Now, it’s their turn. Let them do the activity by group then
individually.

Show more examples of real print, drawing and painting. Ask the pupils to
distinguish one from the other by describing each.

pencil, pen, chalk, or marker but usually not with paint.
3. Painting – the art or act of making pictures using paint.
