* Crossed dc: Skip 1 st, 1 dc in the next st, 1 dc in the skipped st = 1 pair of crossed dc
** Puff: Yarn over, insert hook into st, pull the yarn through the st to approx the same height
as a dc. Repeat 4 times in total= 9 loops on the hook. YO, pull through all 9. Ch 1 to finish the
st (the chain doesn’t count as a stitch)
Notes
• The scarf is shaped like an elongated triangle. It’s worked lengthwise,
from tip to tip. Your work will increase by 1 st on every other row on the
first half of the scarf, and decrease by 1 st on every other row on the
second half. One row of crossed dc is worked at the middle of the scarf
• The edging may become slightly wavy, but will be flat after blocking
