This rubric evaluates biographies on a scale of 1 to 4 in the following areas:
- Ideas and content, organization, word choice and vocabulary, sentence fluidity, and conventions.
- A level 4 biography exceeds standards by including early life, significant events, contributions, and character traits of the subject with many interesting details.
- A level 3 biography meets standards by being well-organized with transitions and including all required elements and details.
- A level 2 biography approaches standards by missing one required element and needing more details and organization.
- A level 1 biography does not meet standards by missing multiple required elements and having poor organization, word choice, and conventions.
