I. OBJECTIVE
Identifies and uses the pattern of naming ordinal numbers from 1st to the 20th.

A. Preparatory Activities:
2. REVIEW- Tell the position of a given set of objects. Present this illustration.
B. Developmental Activities:
1. Motivation-Picture of a Bicycle
Story Telling- Bicycle Race
Ask: Do you have any experience to ride on a bike?
How do you feel it?
(The teacher will post the paper where the list of winners was written.)
Ask:
What are Lito’s and Arnol’s rank?
What letters do you see after 1 and 21?
What is Ramil’s and Sep’s rank?
What letters do you see after 2 and 22?
What are Ben’s and Kanor’s rank?
What letters do you see after 3 and 23?
What are Carlo’s, Benji’s and Jose’s rank?
What letters do you see after the other numbers?
Is there any pattern/s in naming the ordinal numbers?
3. Reinforcing activities
Divide the class into 2 learning groups. Give each group a copy of the work chart of activity to do.
Assign a leader who will report the answer of the activity assigned to their group.
*Complete the ordinal numbers of the chart.
4. Application
Write the missing ordinal numbers on the “Fruit Chart”.
5. Generalization
How do you use the pattern of naming ordinal numbers beyond 20?
The numbers beyond 20 are written with the name of the tens followed by first, second, third,
ninth and etc.
