Writing a Travel Essay

Recall a trip you had alone/with friends/family to a distant place (local or international). Write about this
experience from a personal point of view. Include insights you had about the places you visited, the
feelings you had while you were travelling and the important events that happened.

1. Write a 1,000 (minimum) word essay based on that travel experience.

2. Use Verdana 12 font, double space in your writing.
3. To write the essay, divide your work into several parts (like preparations before the travel, the
actual travel/journey itself, and reflections after the travel – what you learned, or insights you
acquired because of the travel experience.)
4. Use several paragraphs in narrating and reflecting on the experience.
5. Focus, not just on the details of the narrative but also on what you thought of those
experiences.
6. Deadline is January 7, 2021. Send the file to eufrosalazar2@gmail.com. Lateness of submission
will incur 10 pts deduction from the score of the essay.
