2.1. Inspection

• The following explains the regular inspections of the system that need to be performed.

• Perform regular inspections as below in order to ensure the durability of the system, and perform
preventive maintenance for the safety of the system.

2.1.1. Tube stand & Wall stand wire condition

Open the ceiling top cover (It can be opened by removing 4 screws marked in the following figure of
the top cover) and manually move the ceiling up/down in a 15 mm interval. Check the spring balance
and wire condition and verify that the wire works properly and has not been cut.
• 4 screws marked below are removed.

2.1.2. Noise and wear of the patient table magnet

• Push the patient table top from the front and side to see if it can hold weight properly while the
patient table is stopped.

System Inspection GF50 | System Inspection

• While pressing down the foot switch, move the table top to check the noise.

2.1.3. Inspection of the internal power of the generator cabinet

• Open the PCB cabinet of the generator cabinet and measure the voltage of the terminals.
• Visually check the cables in the generator cabinet and also check if they are connected properly.

2.1.4. Inspection of the Grids

• Check if the grids are bent or damaged. Check if there are any foreign objects in the captured X-
ray images.
• When mounting the grids onto the stand and the patient table, check that each unit detects them.

2.1.5. Inspection of the Touching Functionality of the THU

• Touch each part of the THU and check its functionality. Check the touching functionality after
rotating the THU, and check if the THU casing gets in the way. Also check the parts visually.

2.1.6. Inspection of the X-ray Tube

• Disconnect the HVG cable from the X-ray tube and check if there are any foreign objects or arched
marks on the HVG cable. If there are any foreign objects or arched marks on the HVG cable, wipe
them off with a clean cloth and put silicone gel on the surface.
• If there is a loud noise coming from the X-ray tube rotor, measure the noise level with a DB
measurement device and decide to whether to replace it or not. (80 db and above of noise 1 m
away from the anode)

2.1.7. Inspection of the Emergency Stop Buttons

• Press the emergency stop buttons in order and visually check their operation. Disengage the
emergency buttons and check if they have become detached.

2.1.8. Voltage Rise or Drop

• Check the input power at the power distribution panel using a multimeter. (A voltage drop should
be less than ± 10% at the R, S and T phases.)

2.1.9. Inspection of Gear Mesh

• Check if a gear backlash occurs while operating the system, and adjust the gears if necessary. If
the gear backlash is severe it may cause a system error.

2.1.10. Inspection of patient table elevation

• Elevate the actuators of the patient table and check if there is any noise from them and if they are
operating properly.
• (Measure the noise without a patient. Noise level: less than 75 db)
• The noise is measured while the cover is installed.

2.1.11. Inspection of the Screws

• Check if all the screws are firmly tightened. If there are any screws missing, replace them with
spare ones.

2.1.12. Inspection of the Collimator

• Check if there are any safety screws missing from the collimator.
• Check if the collimator is rubbing against anything and check for noise while rotating the collimator.
• Check if the light field is aligned with the X-ray field by adjusting the field.

2.1.13. Inspection of the foot switch

• Check the contact of the foot switch by pressing the pedals.
