My Future Plans/Goals And Why I chose The Career Path I Did

After I graduate from high school my plan is to go to college. Ever since I was younger I

have always wanted to become a dermatologist, but after taking a college career readiness class

my junior year of high school, I have thought about more options since the amount of schooling

and debt have concerned me. I have reconsidered what I want to do but I still have a couple

different options to choose from.

Personally, I am really into skin care and beauty, so I have been thinking more about

either becoming an esthetician or a cosmetologist. That way I am doing something that I know I

will enjoy and won’t be stuck with a job I might actually hate. One of my future goals with this

is also starting my own little business where I can create my own little space and maybe work

with other people.

Another one of my future plans is to most likely get a second job because I know that

neither a cosmetologist or esthetician make around the amount of yearly income I desire.

Investing in stocks is another one of my goals that I will hopefully learn how to do in the future

and make money off of.

I choose this career path because I have realized that life is too short for me to go to

school for another twelve years for something I may not even enjoy doing. Instead, if I do

something that has a shorter amount of schooling, I will have more time for the people in my life

and will be able to do other activities such as traveling around the world.
