Technique
 Students may play elements in any order, but it’s easier for
everyone if they play by Elements or by Key
 Improvisation – This is an excellent time for
students to play.

Sight Reading
 Students may “rehearse” the sight-reading excerpt by setting
hands on the instrument without actually playing during the
study period

Repertoire
 Students may play their Repertoire pieces in any order.
 Help them select a performance order before CM Day
 Present the Evaluator with music opened & stacked in order
 Wait between pieces or as instructed by Evaluator
 Number the 1st measure of each line
 Repeats are discouraged except for D.C., D.S., 1st & 2nd endings
 For memorized pieces
 Piano - NO music on the rack
 All other Instruments- face music stand AWAY from view
