QUESTION 1
Information technology (IT) and digital innovations have helped with the progress of social

humanity and wellbeing has no definite ending. There are still many areas that require digital
innovations for improving the quality of life. Based on your perspective, discuss with

How digital innovations could create opportunities for an individual
The digital innovations is being used to create education opportunities for an individual to
undergo teaching and learning virtually during Pandemic Covid19. The use of those digital
innovations such as Edoome established by Chile. The use of this digital innovations for
education allows individual to stay connected virtually with their lecturers and friends
through video call. Thus, they can gather study materials, communicate more clearly with
facial expressions, body language and intonation, and also use chat and raise hand buttons to
share ideas during classes. I believe that online learning is an effective educational instrument
during Covid19 as it satisfies individual education needs. Other than that, individual can use
digital innovations to stay connected with their lecturers and friends discussing group
assignments and keep in touch with one another. In addition, individual can also do the
webinar program virtually. Furthermore, before Coronavirus spread out, they used to sit for
the quizzes and tests face to face as the questions were more difficult compared to the visual
tests and quizzes. Thus, they have a skillset to deal with her emotions, have access to
resources, and are ready to learn at home.
How digital innovations could create opportunities for a business
The news way that are created by digital innovations in making communities able to adapt to
the critical situation is by creating online job opportunities. Due to the Movement Control
Order (MCO) many local restaurants lost their income where all restaurants could not operate
during that critical time and had to lay off their workers. However, they must shift their
business style by utilizing digital innovation to promote their business using online platforms
such as Thrift Stores innovation established by Sweden during Pandemic Covid19. Other
than that, some people grab a chance to go through local online delivery applications such as
Oda Makan. Oda Makan is a Malaysian local app that provides food delivery services for
local restaurants and delivers it to people’s doorstep. Thus, these new opportunities help local
business to be able to adapt to this hard situation while doing business from home.

How digital innovations could create opportunities for a community

Digital innovations could create saving and access cost opportunities for a community.
Carpooling allows community to share the cost of gas and parking, cutting their expenses by
nearly 50% or more. The more occupants in their carpool the more they save. Carpooling is
also socially economical. Not only will they be saving, but they will also help reduce the
costs they pay towards the construction of new roads, road maintenance and air pollution
related health costs. Other than that, it could create opportunities to reduce stress. Carpool
may enjoy reduced commute stress and increased convenience associated with shared driving
responsibilities, high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane time savings, and preferential parking at
worksites. These benefits can translate to increased employee morale. Additionally, by
reducing the number of vehicle trips to a worksite, employers can reduce parking demand
saving an estimated RM5-RM25 per parking space
