 INTRODUCTION

Ara Gevorgian is recognised as the biggest Armenian artist in the world

today. Tagged as the Aram Khatchatourian of the 21st century, he has
worked with high profile artists of different nationalities, composing
unforgettable pieces such as Adana which has been sung in 14 different
languages around the world.

Ara’s music is being used today by all Armenian dance groups globally,
specifically the Armenian National Dance Ensemble.

Having won an array of major music awards since his launch into the
scene in 1987, Ara has been named the Honorary Artist of the century
by Armenia’s president Robert Kocharian.
 THE PROMOTER

Nareg Charitable Trust is a Trust, founded in 1986, to assist

Armenians in their Educational, Cultural and Religious aspirations. It
does this through support for:

- Nareg Bookshop (which provides Armenian Music, Books, Videos,

Art and Artefacts

- Dziadzan Radio (Armenian radio broadcasting Mon-Fri 12:00-

3:00pm on 98.5 FM

- Armenian Art exhibitions and competitions in Sydney and Melbourne

- Sponsoring and supporting various performing and production Artists

visiting Australia.
 THE EVENT

Nareg Charitable Trust is proud to announce the staging of the single

biggest Armenian production ever in Australia – Ara Gevorgian. The
event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2008 and is being held
at the Bayside Auditorium, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.

This will be Ara’s second concert in Sydney, which will form part of his
2008 World Tour, where he will be also performing in United Arab
Emirates, USA, Canada, South America, Europe, Russia, Lebanon and
Syria.

Featuring over 80 musicians and dancers on stage, audiences will

enjoy a mix of Armenian folk and modern music which has become
Ara’s signature style.

The conductor of the evening is the world-renowned maestro and

composer Henrik Anassian, who has been invited especially by Ara
from USA for this major event.
