ENGLISH VERSION TO FIPILINO VERSION

 The AFP commands are derived from English and subsequently


translated to Filipino.
 This attempt to localize the English version has brought about varied interpretations as
to the preciseness of the terms being used.
 In the command of execution, for example, the words RAP, NA, KAD, TA and others are
often misused/interchanged.
 The commander also opts to use what he thinks is appropriate.

The following are the approved Filipino Translation of Important English drill commands.

Definition of terms of Filipino command guidelines


To provide uniformity, simplicity and preciseness and to suit the Filipino commands in terms of
voice control, distinctiveness, inflection and cadence, the following guidelines are set forth.

Note:
the word NA is used to signal the command of execution.example:
Pugay kamay NA Tunton-kanan/kaliwa NA Balik kopya NA
TA (Abbreviated SANDATA)
Manual of arms for rifles and pistols except for KALIS and TALIBONG. Example,

KAD (abbreviated LAKAD)


From at rest to motion and all subsequent command in motion. Example:
Forward March (PasulongKad)
Rear March (Pabalik Kad)
Column Right/Left March ( Liko Sa Kanan/Kaliwa Kad)
Marching in Place (Patakda Kad)

TO (abbreviated HINTO). from motion to rest.


Example of Command; Company/Platoon Halt (Balangay/Pulutong To).

COMBINED COMMANDS
 The preparatory command and the command of execution are combined, for example,
HUMANAY (FALL IN),
PALUWAG (AT EASE),
LUMANSAG (DISMISS).
 The commands are given without inflection and
at a uniform high pitch and loudness comparable to that of a normal command of execution.
Supplementary Commands
 Are oral orders given by subordinate leader
 to reinforce and complement a commander order.
 Example the platoon is in column formation

 the platoon leader commands DALAWAHANG TUDLING


SUNURAN MULA SA KALIWA/KANAN (pause) KAD.
first and second TUDLING leaders command
PASULONG
 the third and fourth TUDLING leaders command MANATILI (STAND FAST).
MASS COMMANDS
The commander use mass commands
 SA AKING PAG-UTOS (AT MY COMMAND)
 The preparatory command harap sa kanan
 The command of execution is RAP (COMMAND)
 For example: platoon face to the right.
 All personnel in the unit execute the command

Directives
 all oral orders given by the commander
 that direct subordinate leader to take actions.
 given in sentence form and normally prefixed

 Example:“ITANGHAL ANG SANDATA”.


 PAMUNUAN ANG INYONG PANGKAT O PULUTONG, BALANGAY” is the only directive.
 commander relinquishes command and salutes are exchanged.

THE COMMAND VOICE


 Everyone in the unit will easily understand a correct delivered command . Correct
commands have a tone, cadence, and snap that demands willing , correct and immediate
response.

-All oral orders by the commander that direct or cause subordinate leader to take action.

FORMATION BEFORE THE ENTRY OF TROOPS-BN LEVEL

 Bn formed at Assembly Area from the left Alpha Company to the right Bravo Company.
Company in column with platoon in column formation.
 Distance in assembly area
 Coy Comdr of his Coy 6 Steps
 Alpha to Bravo -12 Steps
 1st , 2nd and 3rd Pltn -3 Steps
 Position at Parade Rest
 Bn Comdr & Staff at the Right of the stage. Upon the start of the Ceremony. Bn Comdr and
Staff will now move in the front of the stage.
 Bn Comdr command: Kalupunan, Humanda, Pasulong, Kad, Pihit sa kaliwa, kad, Pihit sa
Kaliwa, kad (center of the Stage), Command again Kalupunan, To, Kalupunan sumalikod
ko.
THE ENTRY OF TROOPS

 Bn Adj will move to the parading line in between of the Band and first Platoon of the Alpha
Company (6 Steps).
 Bn Adj. Order Swords
 Bn Adj -Command “IHUDYAT ANG PAGHANDA”
 Alpha Coy Comdr (Attention) Faced About and Command “TALUPAD, DA.
 Bn Adj- “IHUDYAT ANG AYUDANTE”
 Alpha Coy Comdr – “SA KANAN BALIKAT, TA”, “PASULONG, KAD”
 Bravo Company - MANATILI, after 6 counts – “PASULONG, KAD”
 Color will move with Alpha Coy

 Cont…. THE ENTRY OF TROOPS

 Alpha Coy Comdr-Upon Approaching the parading line, commands mga Gabay
sumahanay.
 All Pltn Sgt run to the Line of Troops and face to the right one (1) step in front of the 1 st
elements.
 upon perpendicular 1st, 2nd and 3rd Platoon march patakda prior to the “KALIWANG PANIG”
command by the Coy Commander. Reaching the parading line execute all troops in
paraders will execute PATAKADA. Coy Commander will command “BALANGAY TO”,
BABA, TA” one after the other Bravo will command the same. After “BABA TA”, Two (2)
COY COMDR face about.

IN TROOPING THE LINE

 Bn Adj.. Command “A” BALANGAY, facing 45 degree to the troop Cmdr and trotting to his
Position 6 or 12 steps from the Bn Cmodr at the center. (Note: At the last Note of
BALANGAY, All Coy Commanders, faces about and command, “TUNTON SA KANAN”
(prolong), at the last note of “KANAN”, All PLTN LEADERs will faces about and command
“TUNTON SA KANAN, NA” then move to the right of their platoon except the last PLTN
LEADER of Bravo company will be in the left or last element… after aligning the troops. All
pltn leaders will be one step ahead of the pltn at command HANDA, RAP, and return to
their respective position. (Movement- refer to AFP Manual)
 Bn Adj- Command TIKAS PAHINGA. The IHUDYAT. The Band will play move march route
in front of the Company and Bn Adj.
 The Distance between Platoon is three (3) Steps, Pltn Ldr to Pltn- 6 steps and Coy Comdr
to Pltn 12 Steps. Coy to Coy will 12 steps. Pltn to Colors 6 steps to the center.
 After the Band review ends their movements (nakabalik na).
 Troop Adjutant command, “TANGHAL, TA” for the National anthem. After finished the
music of national anthem. Bn Adj command BABA, TA. Then face about to the Bn Adj to
Bn Comdr and Command GINOO, HANDA NA PO ANG PATIKAS, Troop Commander
acknowledge the salutes, (SUMALUNAN KA). Bn Comdr command to his staff, PINUNO-
ANTABAY, BUNOT, KALIS.

 Bn Comdr Directs the troops for the Manual of Arms “HUMANDA SA PAGSASANAY SA
PAHAWAK NG SANDATA. Coy Comdr face about to their respective Company. Bn Comdr
Command, SA KANANG BALIKAT, TA, SA KALIWANG BALIKAT, TA, AGAP, TA, BABA, TA,
SIYASAT, TA, AGAP, TA, BABA, TA.

AFTER FINISHED THE MANUAL OF ARMS.

 Bn Comdr direct the Bn adjuatant. Tanggapin ang ulat.

 Bn Adjutant- Move to his position at the center.


 Bn Adjutant- Command, MAG ULAT.

 A-B Coy Comdr- report to Bn Adj. PINUNO ang A-B BALANGAY NARITO PO LAHAT O
NAPAG ALAMAN. Bn Adjutant return and acknowledge the salutes of Coy Comdr. Then Bn
Adjutant report to Bn Comdr. GINOO NARITO PO LAHAT O NAPAG ALAMAN. Bn Comdr
acknowledge the salute the command the Bn Adjutant IHAYAG AND KAUTUSAN.
 Bn Adjantant face about to the troops and command- MAKINIG SA KAUTASAN, ANG MGA
PINUNONG NAKATALAGA NGAYON, PUNONG PANGLARANGAN KADETE
CAPITAN______, UNANG TANOD KADETE TENYENTE ________, SA UTO UTOS NG
KOMANDANTE__________, MGA PINUNO, HUMARAP AT PUMAGITNA.KAD

 Bn Adjutant return to his position at Bn staff

 COY COMDRS AND PLTN LEADERS FACE TO THE CENTER FOR THE OFFICER CENTER
MARCH.

 6 STEPS BEFORE THE POSITON OF BN COMDR. Alpha Coy Comdr Command PINUNO
HINTO with 8 Counts execute salute with swords. Bn Comdr reponse and command
SUMALUNAN, KAD.

 After the Officer Center.

 Bn Commander- Direct command to the troops TANGHAL, TA and present the Troops to
the Guest of Honor and Speaker and after acknowledge the salute by the GOHAS band will
play MABUHAY HYM.
 Bn Commander-will command to the troops BABA, TA, and face about and salute to the
GOHAS and say” GINOO, ANG TALUPAD HANDA PO UPANG LIBUTIN.

 Position-During Trooping the from the stage at the Left side is the Commandant, center is
the GOHAS and RIGHT THE Bn Comdr

 Upon reaching the parading the line the command change his position to the right side.
 Upon approaching the colors Bn Comdr command ANG MGA WATATWAT, PUGAY
KAMAY, NA

 Note: During the Trooping the line at the paring line, Pltn Ldr will command HANDA
TINGEN SA KANAN, NA,(ONE AFTER THE OTHER PLTN).

After finished the MABUHAY HYM


 After the trooping the line, Command and Guest seated at the Stage Bn Commander face
about and command, MGA WATATAWAT AT MGA LAKAMBINI, HUMARAP AT PUMAGITAN
(ENTRANCE OF THE COLORS AND SPONSOR)
 Bn Staff face about and march 12 steps to the right, and the Bn Commander will fetch the
Colors and Sponsor at the parading line. Bn Commander Command to the Colors and
Sponsor PASULONG, KAD, then TO upon reaching the center. Bn Commander present to
the President and say PINUNO ANG MGA WATAWAT AT LAKAMBINI AY NARITO PO.
President acknowledge the salute. Bn Comdr face about infront of the color and sponsor
command TANGHAL SANDATA, TA, sponsor will execute hand salute. Band will Play the
school hym. After finished the School Hym. Bn Commander Command, BABA, TA.Then
Command MGA WATAWAT LUMANSAG. The returns will return to their position at
parading line. Bn Troops Directs the troops for the Officer Center with Guidon, MGA
PINUNO, HUMARAP AT PUMAGITNA, KAD. Cadets Officers Stay beside their respective
sponsor at left side. Then followed by the command of Bn Comdr. PINUNO ANTABAY
SALONG, KALIS.

 Reading of Sponsor Appointment. (After reading Bn Comdr Command HARAP SA GITNA,


HARAP, cadet officer face about, offers and red roses to their beautiful sponsor.)
Option- Tender kisses voluntary offer. The Bn Comdr Command; HARAP SA LABAS,
HARAP

 Presentation of Sponsor to the Cadet Corp, respectively.

 Reading of What a Sponsor is?- by the Muyta ng Talupad. escorted by the Bn Comdr to the
stage.

 Return of the sponsor at the stage.


Return of the cadet officer at the center. Bn Commander command: PINUNO ANTABAY
BUNOT, KALIS, SALUMAN, KAD, coy comdr and Pltn ldr return their original post at the parading
line.

Turn over of Mutya ng Talupad

 Reading of Relinquishment of Order by the Outgoing Mutya followed short message.

 Reading of Assumption by the Incoming Mutya ng Talupad. Then Turn Over proper by the
scepter.

 Introduction of the Speaker by_________________________


 Message by the President.
