Position summary
We are looking for a Jr. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Python to join the
DataLake QA Automation team to contribute on quality for enterprise wide strategic initiative. The
role offers extensive challenges in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Duties & accountabilities

We’re looking for a strong and dynamic candidate to evaluate and implement automation
framework and write automated tests.

 Be a part of newly-formed test and QA Automation team. Contribute to both manual and
automation objectives.
 Review business and technical requirements; create test plan & test scenarios; create
automated test scripts, execute tests, and publish daily test execution reports.
 Evaluate and design automation frameworks (Python, APIs and Selenium) and
implement new automation test cases.
 Establish regression testing across projects, utilizing processes, methods, metrics.
 Ensure test case coverage is constantly increasing and feeding new test cases back into
the CD pipeline.
 Contribute to manual testing as necessary during sprints.
 Work with an onsite testing team to coordinate the test and automation requirements.
 Provide reports for development managers in order to pinpoint areas of deficiency.
 Ability to work with remote team in a geographically distributed development model.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Education and experience

Knowledge of evaluating and designing automation frameworks is

 3+ years’ experience python scripting with experience evaluating
Personal impact
and implementing test automation frameworks
 Overall 4-6 years of experience in QA functions, testing and
automation
 Experience in carefully extending the existing automation framework

 Experience in BDD and Selenium

 Experience testing REST APIs

 Experience with Jira, Gitlab

 Good communication and presentation skills to the point

 Knowledge of Agile development methodology

Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of

testing best practices are critical to successful performance in this role

Ability to collaborate in a team environment. Experience in Agile

Teamwork
development methodology is preferred.
