EXPERIENCE
Dr Al-Amad has extensive experience in treating patients with
oral diseases, facial pain, and disorders of the jaw joint (TMJ).
He developed his experience while working at Royal Dental
Hospital of Melbourne (Australia), and the University Dental
Hospital Sharjah (UAE).

Dr Al-Amad is also an Associate Professor at the University of

Sharjah. He is an active researcher in the fields of oral
diseases, infection control and medico-legal issues. He has
been serving on the assessment committee of the Ministry of
Health and the Licensing Board of Dubai Healthcare City.

Besides his experience in Oral Medicine, Dr Al-Amad is a

qualified Forensic Dentist. He holds a Graduate Diploma in
Forensic Odontology from the University of Melbourne
(Australia), and has been providing forensic testimonies on
many forensic and criminal cases to police organizations and
courts in Australia and Jordan. In 2010, he was summoned by
the Ministry of Interior to train the first professional team of
Forensic Dentists in Abu Dhabi Police. Dr Al-Amad has been
awarded the Australian Federal Police Operations Medal for his
role in identifying the victims of the Indian ocean tsunami in
2005.

QUALIFICATIONS
Dr Al-Amad graduated from the University of Jordan with a
Bachelor degree in Dentistry. He then moved to Australia to
pursue his Clinical Doctorate in Oral Medicine and Pathology at
the University of Melbourne.
Dr Al-Amad has the Australian Board in Oral Medicine, the
Jordanian Board in Oral Medicine, and the Fellowship of the
Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS),
which is the highest professional qualification in Australia.
