2021 Ordering & Pricing Guide

This Ordering and Pricing Guide contains the following sections: Dealer Service Software Site
License offerings, other Dealer offerings, Customer offerings and Vocational/Technical (Vo-Tech)
educational institution offerings.

Each section contains applicable Service Information System (SIS), and Caterpillar Electronic Tech-
nician (Cat ET) media offerings, including media numbers and prices.

All prices are listed in suggested dealer net (SDN) and in U.S. dollars. All subscriptions are offered
on an annual basis. All subscriptions are automatically renewed each calendar year, unless can-
celled by the subscribing Dealer prior to the communicated deadline. No credits will be issued for
cancelled subscriptions throughout the year.

& Pricing Guide is produced and distributed by Technical Information Access Solutions within Caterpillar® Inc. Direct questions and

Dealer / Customer Service Software Site License

The Service Software Site License Fee is made up of two separate sections. The first section is the Traditional
Service Software Site License Fee and the second section is the Subscription Fee.

The 2021 Service Software Site License Fee that is part of the Dealer Systems Fee includes the following:
-Any new subscriptions of SIS USB for both Dealer/Customer
-Any new subscriptions of Cat ET software
-Any new product orders (not including shipping)
-Unlimited Cat ET licenses
-Unlimited SIS USB licenses
-Unlimited SIS 2.0

SIS USB is individually charged throughout the year when SIS USBs are ordered

The 2021 Service Software Subscription Fee includes the following:

-Renewal of existing subscriptions of SIS USB
-Renewal of existing subscriptions of Cat ET Software
-Second-Level Dealer Packages (TEPS, AMD, ISD)
Note: Shipping for new product orders is not covered under the Site License Fee. Shipping charges for new
product orders are invoiced at the time of order placement. Also, dealers will be responsible for invoicing their
customers, as the dealer will not receive an invoice for any new orders of SIS USB or Cat ET software
subscriptions throughout 2021.

SIS USB and Cat ET software must be licensed separately by accessing the Dealer Software Licensing (DSL)
application at https://dealersoftwarelicensing.cat.com, or by contacting Technical Information Access Solutions
(TIAS) at Technical_Information_Access_Solutions@cat.com.

Dealers may download SIS software for dealer and customer use. Note: Software only may be downloaded at
https://dealer.cat.com/en/ps/service/software/sis.html SIS data and setup items must be ordered at https://
oos.midlandcorp.com/SIS.

All subscriptions for Cat ET software and SIS USB are available to order on the Service Software Product
Ordering System Website at https://oos.midlandcorp.com/SIS.

SIS USB is now available on a biannual subscription. SIS USB must be licensed by accessing the DSL
application at https://dealersoftwarelicensing.cat.com, or by contacting TIAS at
Technical_Information_Access_Solutions@cat.com . Users must install SIS software in order to utilize USB
data updates. Flash Files are loaded separately.

Dealer Cat ET
Cat ET
Cat ET is the diagnostic software required to communicate, troubleshoot, and service electronically
controlled Caterpillar equipment. Cat ET requires the Cat Communications Adapter to communicate between
the PC and the electronic control unit (ECU).

Upon successful installation of Cat ET, the software must be licensed by an authorized Dealer. A license
may be obtained by accessing the Dealer Software Licensing application at
https://dealersoftwarelicensing.cat.com, or by contacting Technical Information Access Solutions at
Technical_Information_Access_Solutions@cat.com.

Dealer or Customer SIS
SIS provides access to comprehensive and up-to-date parts and service information. SIS USB covers parts
information and service documents for all Caterpillar machines and engines from 1977 to present.
Subscriptions for SIS USB are available on a biannual or quarterly subscription.

SIS 2.0
Parts-only access to SIS 2.0 via PartStoreTM is offered at no charge. Unlimited Customer SIS 2.0 access is
included within the Service Software Site License subscription. Dealers may set up unlimited Customer SIS
2.0 accounts at no charge.

Customers may be granted access to Numerical Parts Record (NPR) information as long as that customer
has a signed Copyright Agreement on file. This is offered at no charge. Please refer to the 2021 Dealer
Administrator Guide for more information on NPR access or contact the TIAS Inbox with any questions at
Technical_Information_Access_Solutions@cat.com.

SIS USB and Network

SIS subscriptions will be available as USB’s and in a Network version, which include updates to SIS data and
software. SIS USB and SIS Network Software requires a license from an authorized Dealer. A signed
Customer SIS Copyright Agreement is required. Licensing may be completed by accessing the Dealer
Software Licensing application at https://dealersoftwarelicensing.cat.com, or by contacting Technical
Information Access Solutions at Technical_Information_Access_Solutions@cat.com.

Vo-Tech
Vo-Tech subscriptions are available for Caterpillar approved educational institutions, in partnership with
Caterpillar Dealers.
Vo-Tech subscriptions are provided at no charge, and are administered and supported by Caterpillar Dealers.
All orders must be placed through Caterpillar Technical Information Access Solutions and are subject to
approval by Caterpillar Service Training. All educational institutions are required to complete and sign an
Educational Institution SIS agreement and a Cat ET agreement prior to receiving software. For questions

Vo-Tech subscriptions come at no charge. Vo-Tech SIS USB subscriptions are updated twice a year.
