How to Change Your Siemens

remove the screws.

push the bottom end
forward and slide the casing
up and forward.
20) No screws to hold down
the display so you can
simply remove it.
(NOTE: be careful not to
touch the screen b/c you
don’t want to get it dirty!)

21) Now remains the
earphone casing. With a flat
tip, carefully lift the casing
and remove it. Now you are
ready to transfer all the
electronics over to your new
housing.
23) Now pay attention! You
will notice your old keypad
will have a white layer on
it’s underside. You will need
to pull this off and REUSE it
for your new keypad!
22) Now that you have all
your display and earphone
electronics transferred to
your new housing, you are
ready for your next
modification.
24) As seen here, carefully
peel off the white layer. May
be tricky at first but once it
starts peeling, should be
fine.

25) You can now place the
white layer over the new
keypad. Notice that there it
mounts perfectly on the
casing!
27) Now you are ready to
place the 2nd piece back
onto the slide. Remember
to loop the ribbon through
first.
26) Optional: you can
tighten your slider by
CAREFULLY lifting the two
metal tabs. Don’t
overextend it or it will break!
28) Now you can connect
the ribbon to the main
board.
