Reduced Down Time Clockwise Turn Variant

SET UP
- Disregard the regular use of the turn order tiles
- Give a first player token to Player 1
- Give the following players the listed starting currency:

FOUR PLAYERS THREE PLAYERS

Player 1: $11 Player 1: $10
Player 2: $10 Player 2: $10
Player 3: $11 Player 3: $11
Player 4: $12

GAMEPLAY
Instead of using the play order dictated by the provided turn order tiles, turn order will
always conduct in clockwise fashion beginning with Player 1 (The Starting Player). Rounds
still consist of two full table rotations (6 or 8 total turns depending on player count ).
Player 4 will take an action on turn 4 & 8 for example. When each of rounds 1-6 are
completed, pass the first player marker clockwise to Player 2 who now becomes Player 1.
Round 7 is special and has the players pass the first player marker mid round. Once each
player has taken a single action in round 7, pass the first p layer marker clockwise to
Player 2, who now becomes Player 1.

Passing still functions the same with this variant. If Player 1 passes on his second turn
(turn 5) and Player 4 passes on both turn 4 & 8, Player 4 will take his first turn followed
by Player 1 and then Player 4 again after.

THE MATH
To calculate player turn balance, count the amount of dice each player has available to choose between
during each of their action selections. Then for each player, add all the turn results together. The higher
the sum, the greater the advantage that player has.
* Passing quantity per player is a variable that’s impossible to predict and thus has been omitted from balance
considerations in all turn structure versions (including standard turn structure).

In a four player game, when using the standard turn structure dictated by the turn order tiles, each
player has 14 action choices between 147 total dice (133 with three players). The tables below depict
the suggested clockwise turn variant and their relative balance. Players with lower available dice sums
are compensated with the extra starting currency outlined in the set-up.
