1. Planning and preparation

Using evidence please describe your growth and development in domain 1.

My growth and development during this experience of students teaching, I learned that
when you’re planning any kind of lessons for younger grades, you need to have visual
manipulatives to help you teach the lesson. With younger children, visualization is important to
them as that is how they learn and navigate the world around them. I also learned that time is
very important for younger children, due to the fact that they can’t sit for long periods. For that
reason, when planning any lessons or activity for these younger students, it should be short but
very interactive so that the children will enjoy the lesson and learn something from it. Lastly,
before I administer the lesson to the students, I have to model it to them so that they will
understand the material beforehand.

2. Using evidence describe your growth and development in domain 2. (Environment)

During my field experience, I have learned that when you conduct a lesson plans with Activities
that Reflect Students’ Interest, they become more engaged, responsive and very interactive
during the lesson. I see that during my interaction with the students and the Student interactions
with other students as well.

One of the other things I have learned over the courses as well, is student assignment revision.
When I see that a lesson was a little bit difficult for these young leaners, I revision the
assignments for those students who had difficult, so that the lesson I will be appropriate for all. I
make sure that the formatting of the lesson supports the process for students.

Lastly, group plan, when the students work in small or large group, I notice that they do very
well. when I group my students, I grouped to mix skill levels. Because I have seen that students
learn well when they are mixed in different skills and levels. With this, i make sure that my
strongest students are intermingled with others. As a teacher, I very well understands how
learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary
individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and
for that reason, I make sure to designs and implements developmentally appropriate lessons and
activities that are learning experiences and challenging at the same time.

3.Instructional Delivery: Using evidence describe your growth and development in domain 3.

Instructional delivery is very significant as it has a very essential impact on students learning. As
a teacher, I understands the central concepts, structures, and tools of inquiry of the discipline(s)
because it had been taught to me from an experience teacher and mentor, who taught me that I
need to creates learning experiences that make these aspects of subject matter, meaningful , and
engaging for students. This is why all lessons plan and activities has to modify, differentiated,
that contracts student’s learning, student’s engagement, and everything else above.

4.Professional Development: Using evidence describe your growth and development.

Over the thirteen weeks, I have learnt many of the values what it means being a teacher besides
just teaching. I have learnt that to be a good and responsible teacher, I need to understand how
the students learn best and to recognize that individual students have their own learning needs.
This is why I reflect on my teaching when the lesson is over to see what I did wrong, what
worked, what didn’t, and what I can do to make it work. I like that I am growing and developing
Professionally under the guidance of a professional teacher. What I learned about myself during
this experience, I learned that preparation is everything when it comes to teaching, from the start
of the lesson to the very end of it. When you’re not prepared, the lesson wont flow as you want it
to. Finally, I learned that I love what I do! I love knowing that I have the ability to make a
difference in a student’s life and the ability to help them learn and grow in knowledge and in all
areas of learning.

5. Assessment: Using evidence describe your growth and development in Domain 5.
I have grown and develop the understanding of assessments in students, learning and growth. I
have learned that assessments are great instructional tools to guide improvements in student
learning. They also guide improvements in teaching strategies to ensure that instructional
approaches provide students the opportunity to reach their full academic potentials. Assessments
are also a critical aspect of instruction in order for the academic environment to reach its full
potential for the teachers and students. The above assessments have helped me develop and plan
an individualized lesson for my students based on their strength and weakness. It has taught me
so much for my students learning style and creative that I can use to adjust my lessons or make it
challenging in a way that helps them to grow and develop as they continue in their journey of
learning.
