 QUARANTHINGS SERIES

• DATE LAPSED: May 16 - July 30, 2020

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: A series of online events in the

span of 3 months to keep JPIAns entertained while staying
at the comfort of their homes. There is a total of 9 events
namely: Quarantine Weekly Quiz, Whizkids, Academazing,
JPIAn memes, Scavenger’s Hunt, Emoji Pictionary, Grid n’
Guess, It’s All Write, and Photography Contest.
 PROMOTION SPREE

• DATE LAPSED: July 14-23, 2020

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: An initiative that aims to promote

and support MSMEs and online businesses within Region
X, CARAGA and BARMM. This is also a response against
the ongoing pandemic, or the COVID-19.
 FIRST EXECUTIVE BOARD
MEETING
• DATE LAPSED: August 29-30, 2020

• THEME: Together Towards Tomorrow

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: The meeting constituted a quorum

and was conducted to achieve consensus among the
JPIAns concerning matters which involved the interests of
the joint region and the Local Chapters within its vicinity.
Specifically, the meeting was held as preparation of the
19th Regional Midyear Convention. It was also conducted to
formally take the oath of accepting the responsibilities of
the Regional Executive Board.
 SHOW-OFF JPIA! WEEK

• DATE LAPSED: September 21-27, 2020

• THEME: Ci Uniamo: Beyond Boundaries, Strengthen the Ties

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: A week-long event packed with

various activities that will showcase academic knowledge,
talents, and skills of every JPIAn.
 19TH REGIONAL MIDYEAR
CONVENTION

• DATE LAPSED: November 27-30, 2020

• THEME: Pagmaya: Explore with Gaiety, Uncover the Festivity

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: This event aims to unite Local

Chapters, raise academic excellence, showcase talents,
inspire students and open opportunities of growth.

• DATE LAPSED: December 12-13, 2020

• THEME: Sollevare: Rising Above Challenging Times

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: A partnership with Mindanao State

University - Main Campus in which Certified Public
Accountants are gathered to share their academic and
board exam experiences. It shall also serve as a way to
inspire aspiring Certified Public Accountants to work hard
for the title.

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: In light of the recent typhoons that

hit our country, the National Federation of Junior
Philippine Institute of Accountants - Region X and
CARAGA Council (NFJPIA - Region X and CARAGA), being
an organization that cares for the community initiates a
donation drive dubbed as “Project Tukod: T20”. T20 stands
for Tabang 20 which aims to encourage JPIAns across
Region X and CARAGA to donate at least PHP 20.00 for the
Luzon Community.
 PROJECT PADAYON
• DATE LAPSED: December 13, 2020 – January 2, 2020

• SHORT DESCRIPTION: The National Federation of Junior

Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA), Federation
Year 2020-2021 stands in solidarity with JPIAns adjusting
to remote distance learning through a donation drive
called “Project Padayon”. With a total target donation of
P240,000, NFJPIA plans to allocate donations to laptops,
prepaid WI-FIs and accounting books for online learning
for a projected 15 JPIAn beneficiaries. Any donation
collected in excess of P240,000 shall still be used for the
benefit of the selected beneficiaries. No amount shall be
redirected to finance the other projects of NFJPIA.

PANAGHIUSA PARA SA CARAGA
• Last December 18, 2020, the National Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) issued an
orange rainfall warning for Agusan del Sur, Agusan del
Norte and Surigao del Sur, as heavy rain came before
daybreak and continued for more than eight (8) hours
which resulted to flooding to some of the communities.
• The NFJPIA - Region X and CARAGA along with some
Regional Councils and Local Chapters will initiate relief
efforts to our citizens in the CARAGA region particularly in
Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur
spearheaded by NFJPIA - Region X and CARAGA Council
Regional Vice President for Communications.

• Short Description: A national inter-schools quiz bee in the
following subjects (FAR, AFAR, MAS, Auditing, Taxation,
RFBT).

• Eligibility: Members recognized by NFJPIA

• Short Description: Short Description: The 5TH PAC will tackle

the updates and current trends on the four (4) sectors of the
accounting profession namely: commerce and industry, public
practice, government, and education/ academe which will
provide new information for delegates across the country.
 MINDAWIDE

• Proposed Date: February – March 2021

• Short Description: The Mindawide event will be an avenue

for JPIAns across Mindanao to build camaraderie, explore
