INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT

FRANCHISING AND LICENSING (ARS 3063)

1. Students are required to find two journal articles related to franchising. The search
for journal articles should be based on ten areas assigned according to the list of
names. Students should ensure that the two articles are not the same as the other
students in the same cluster.

2. The areas of franchising are: (i) franchising relationship; (ii) franchising conflict;
(iii) local or home-grown franchise; (iv) contract / agreement / law of franchising;
(v) motivation to engage in franchising; (vi) government role in assist franchise
business; (vii) franchising failure; (viii) survival of franchising; (ix) master
franchising and (x) international expansion of franchising.

3. Before starting writing, you are required to make a summary of the two journal
articles in the table as follows:

 Overview
 Description of Methodology used
 Evaluation
 Discussion on findings/implications/contributions
5. Please use the font Arial 11, spacing 1.5, and the maximum page is three pages,
not including the cover page and references. Kindly use the cover provided.

6. Individual assignment must be uploaded to the e campus system in the form of a

word file and two journal articles in the form of pdf files. Submission of
assignments must be completed before 6th December 2020.
