The Snøhetta-designed restaurant also functions as a research
center for marine life, providing a tribute to the wild fauna of the
sea and to the rocky coastline of Norway’s southern tip..

• Manufactured away from site on a barge
• Form work is done and is cement casted with steel reinforcement.

• Concrete slab is anchored on the sea bed

• Cladding of exterior and interior.
• Flooring and ceiling is installed

• A place is selected near to the site ( 20 metres away from the final site)
• Barge is set
• Steel form work is done
• Casting of concrete along with steel reinforcement
• Windows were installed
• Waterproofing and weathering, and was Left to cure

CONCRETE SLAB
• Concrete slab is anchored to the sea bed with 18 bolts.

COMBINING
• Concrete tube is moved to its final location with the use of a crane
and tugboats, and positioned above concrete slab.
• The structural shell is allowed be filled with water to resist
buoyancy, allowing it to sink to the ocean floor five metres below.
• Its placed carefully above the slab and is bolted.

FINISHES
• Structural shell exterior is left as such. Front elevation’s wooden
cladding is done
• Interior wall paneling, ceilings, and flooring are done after the
water is inside is being drained and dried.
