Overview
This document contains the release notes for firmware version 02A03 and software version 02A05 of the GE DR60
Multifunctional Digital Fault Recorder.
Date of release: 05 April 2019
Firmware 02A03
Summary
Improvements and issues fixed include the following:
• Improved calibration algorithm and processes to improve reliability and avoid offset deviations.
• Corrected issue that blocked changing the password. Now it is possible to change the password for all
available users: ADM, CFG and MON.
• Improved synchronism reliability over PTP by changing the Mean Path Delay calculation
‒ Enhanced synchronization recovery after receiving a burst of Ethernet packets
Software 02A05
Summary
Improvements and issues fixed include the following:
• Improved user experience related to the dataset:
‒ When a configured analog circuit is removed, all datasets associated to that circuit are removed as well
‒ When a configured GOOSE input is removed, all datasets associated to that input are removed as well
• Improved user experience related to the PMU:
‒ Changing the waveform sampling rate does not affect the PMU calculation anymore
• Improved user experience for the GOOSE subscriber:
‒ DR60 does not support FCD, but now Datasets mixed with FCD and FCDA information can be imported
‒ If any SCD is not validated by the ICT, the configuration made so far will not be deleted
‒ Improved support for to external configuration with multiple subnetworks (improved UR integration)
• Included support to send FCD data through the GOOSE publisher and Report Control Block
• Fixed the product name for the MS1 Agile Setup installer
• Improved the user experience after renaming Datasets:
‒ Renamed Datasets are updated for all configurations
‒ Renaming Datasets doesn’t block sending the configuration
• Improved the user experience in for analog channel configuration:
‒ The primary and secondary configurations are now considered as Phase to Phase values
‒ The Primary Voltage range is limited to 1 - 1000kV
‒ The Secondary Voltage range is limited to 1 – 200V
‒ The Primary Current range is limited to 1 - 1000kA
‒ The Secondary Current range is limited to 1 – 10A
‒ The Ratio continues to be automatically calculated, but now as it is possible to configure secondary
values, the CT/VT ratio can be correctly represented in the ICT
• Be aware that after a firmware upgrade it is necessary to reconfigure the ratio for the analog inputs.
Upgrade
To upgrade the DR60 Configurator software:
1. Uninstall the software using the operational system tools
2. Choose a software version compatible to the chosen firmware
3. Download the desired DR60 Configurator version from the GE grid solution website
(https://www.gegridsolutions.com/app/Resources.aspx?prod=DR60&type=7)
4. Install the new software using the downloaded wizard
