FINAL REQUIREMENT

Instructions: Interview supervisor/manager/head or someone who handles minimum of 5

employees under him/her.

 What are the difficulties that you encounter in the job?

Mr. Ruzzel Deuna is a working student, he is in his 3rd year of college in City of Malabon
University, he works as a call center agent in Alorica and eventually became a sales couch.
When I ask this question to him he says that he don't want to be bias but he knows that most of
us know that once you hear that a person's job is a call center agent, people think that "oh, they
are working at night. they are just answering people's question. they're job is so easy and blah,
blah, blah" and he can't blame them. So for him, it makes his job difficult because it is difficult to
break the stereotype or the stigma about their job. He said that their job is not just about
answering customer's problem. Their job is a job just like what our parents have or what you
have.

 What makes your job challenging?

Mr. Deuna said that when it comes on his position it is so challenging to do his responsibilities
correctly and properly, because he is just a 20 years old working student, and being a sales coach
at this very young age, he is put in the middle of the pressure to prove himself to his older
colleagues who are working there for more than two years or for more than a decade. While him,
he's there for just 1 year and 8 months from now and he can't erase the fact that if there is one
mistake that he would commit, his colleagues might get mad at him and that's why he think that,
that makes his job challenging.

 What makes it fulfilling?

On the other hand, he said that the position that he have is very fulfilling. Because as a sales
coach, his job is to teach and guide those new hires that would like to pass the learning lab where
their skill and knowledge will be test and in doing so he is so grateful to see that after a month
that these folks are doing great to the job that they have. He's in his greatest joy every time that
he hears these agents that he handled, are getting a huge incentives because they applied all the
skills and knowledge that they shared to them and because of it, he can say to himself that he is
effective as a person and as a sales coach.

 What satisfaction/s dis you get from the job?

One of the satisfactions that he's getting in his work according to Mr. Deuna is the privilege to be
called as an effective sales coach and at the same time, the bond that he received with his
colleagues and to his students or the new hires that they have handled and of course the money
incentives that he is receiving from his company.

 What is the most challenging part of your job?

According to him, the most challenging part of his job is that every time that he's handling a new
hire that is much older than hi and has a lot of experience in BPO, these kind of new hires thinks
that they are much knowledgeable than him and the discrimination about his age is always in the
spot light, but he thought that they are wrong. He said that yes, they are correct that they he is
young and he can't deny the fact that this is his first BPO job and actually his first job in his life,
but they are wrong. He trust that he is more knowledgeable than them when it comes on the
account that he is handling. And he's proving to them that they can't attack him just because of
his age and he is still their sales coach there and they need to obey whatever he says because
without him or them as a sales coaches, they will not pass the training lab.

 What is your favorite part of your job?

Mr. Deuna's most favorite part as a sales couch, is the graduation after the training lab. For him,
it is such an honor to see those people that he had handle, passing the training and will be
endorse now to the production floor of their company. Also he is so glad that he had built a bond
with them after their shift. In conclusion of this, he is so happy to meet new people and to be part
of the achievements and success that they have in the present.
