To be read in conjunction with SGN 072

MARPOL Annex VI, Regulation 22A - Collection and reporting of ship fuel oil consumption data

To: Ship Owners, Operators, Master’s, Classification Societies and Recognised Organisations

The aim of this notice is to provide further clarification on the following requirement as contained within SGN -072:

“In the event that at the owner’s request a Recognized Organisation (RO) other than the ship’s Classification Society
assumes responsibility for all or part of the requirement, a written agreement between the RO’s concerned detailing
the specific responsibilities assumed by each respective RO must be forwarded to the Administration and attached to
International Air Pollution Prevention Certificate (IAPP)”.

In this respect, Gibraltar Maritime Administration requires a statement to be issued by the Recognized Organisation
assuming responsibility for all or any activities of MARPOL Annex VI, Regulation 22A requirements (as detailed in
points I to IV of SGN 072), confirming the afore-mentioned.

The Master of the ship is to ensure the statement is retained on board together with the International Air Prevention
Pollution Certificate, and made available for inspection by any authorized Authority.
