Unit 5: Homework Guidelines

 Make sure to form a group of 2-4 members in a team.

 Go for places/ spots in Da Nang/Hoi An where there are many expats.
 Be ready for the interview make sure you take down notes of your
questions before conducting the interview.
 Ask permission politely if they would like to take part in the interview.
 Introduce yourselves and the reason for the interview.
 Stick to the time. Make it brief and short. Around 10-15 minutes
 Ask 5-7 questions. (Sample only) Feel free to make your own. Use the
word (s)/expressions we studied on Unit 5
 Why have they come to Vietnam?
 How does it feel to live in a city far from their own?
 What do they like/dislike about living here?
 Do they feel a sense of community while being here?
 How have they adapted/adjusted to a new culture?
 Have they been a victim of urban crimes? Or someone they
know of has been a victim of urban crimes? How did they
handle it?
Make a video/clip/recording of the said interview and present it to the class on
