SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

Our study includes the neighborhood, residences, roadways, and land properties
from the steel bridge towards the old Provincial city hospital which is located in
P.Gonzales Street, Mantahan, Maasin city. The roadway was design to act as an
alternative road, detour, and escape route when Traffic on the main road is heavy. The
road here is for public use and also used for the transportation of goods and materials.
But as we have observed, this specific area is composed of sharp blind curves which
increases the chances of road accidents. The study covers only the said location and is not
to bypass past the stated areas. In this study we are to implement a solution in which this
problem can be controlled.

The main focus of this project is the design of an efficient widening plan. But the
area is owned by big named people. That is why the Government had a hard time
constructing the road over there thus resulting into sharp curves. Assuming the people
would agree to the terms and conditions of the plan, a safer and more travelable road
would be implemented. The study is limited to the decisions of the residences. When
widening the area, land properties will be trespassed and some might even be destroyed.
The study limits us to evidences and proofs of accidents that happened because of the
said sharp curves. And as mere students, we have inefficient datum and lack of road
blueprints for the scoped area.
