8. Services

8.1 1 - Inspection trials in the ROVEMA factory

8.2 1 - CIP – pallets, free F – Ludres Cedex


Packed on pallets with film hood and loaded on truck in
the ROVEMA D-Fernwald factory, carriage free, with
insurance, delivered by truck.

8.3 1 - Erection, commissioning and start-up


of the machine:

VPM-NT
The installation and start-up of the machine includes the
erection of the machine with
- three formats
- each one film
- one product.

If an additional erection and start-up of the line with all


format sizes / packaging materials is requested, it will be
charged against our standard service rates according to
time certificates

Furthermore the installation includes an acceptance run of


max. four hours with three formats and one product each.

We will delegate one of our service technicians. Costs are


inclusive of travelling expenses.

The installation does not include items under options. If, in


case of order, items under options are ordered, the costs
for installation have to be proved.

To assure a trouble-free erection and putting into


operation, we point out that the date scheduled by you
must be indicated to our service department with the order
or at least 2 weeks before beginning of erection.

Price conditions:
CIP (F - Ludres Cedex), incl. packaging, insurance, with installation and commissioning.

Terms of payment:
40 % down payment due after receiving commercial
confirmation of order against invoice,
50 % due after notification of goods ready for dispatch
against invoice, prior to shipment
10 % after final acceptance of the machine,
however latest 45 days after delivery on site in
case final acceptance is delayed due to reasons
beyond ROVEMA´s control.

General conditions for the electric and technical safety


equipment of ROVEMA Packaging Machines as well as operation,
transport and storage.

Guarantees regarding the production of bags refer to the


check and assessment guidelines of the trade association
"Verpackung und Verpackungsfolien" in the GVK, so far as
applicable.

The statements about performances apply to DIN 8743


"Terms of Packaging Machines and Packaging Lines" (issued
in June 2004). This DIN-standard defines these terms
and describes their prove at machine reception. The here
given points are depending on the following factors:

1. Product properties and behaviour


2. Constant product infeed and bulk density
3. Packaging material and properties
4. Proper operation and maintenance of the packaging plant
5. Physical environment conditions
6. Pre-, between and behind running parts of machine plant

The change of packing materials, packaging accessories (e.g. with


change of goods to be packed and format change) and/or the
subsequent modification of characteristics of goods to be packed,
packing materials, packaging accessories and closing/sealing
accessories can make fine adjustments necessary and influence the
set performance of the machine/line.

Transport and storage:


During transport and storage the electric equipment endures
temperatures between -25°C and + 55°C, as well as, for a short
period of time of no longer than 24 hours, temperatures up to +70°C.

Surrounding temperature:
The electric equipment can be operated at a surrounding
temperature between +5 and +35°C, average temperature
not exceeding +30°C for a period of 24 hours.

Atmospheric conditions:
The electric equipment works troublefree at a relative
humidity of max. 50 % at 35°C and max. 90 % at 20°C.

Electrical operating conditions:


The electric equipment works satisfactorily under full load
and without load in a voltage range between 90 and 110 % of
the nominal voltage and at a frequency deviation of up to +/- 2%.
The rated power of motors is defined at 95 to 105 % of their
nominal voltage.

We install noise filters in the machines to comply with the


EMV noise regulations, these
are generating a leakage current, which can cause the release
of the leakage current device. Therefore the packaging unit
as included in the offer or order scope is not prepared to
work with a residual current operated device (RCD-switch).
When using an RCD-switch supplied by the customer measures
might need to be taken.

According to the valid guideline for protection against explosion (RL 94/9/EG, Atex 95) we
are obliged to draw your attention to the fact that machines which are working in an
explosion endangered area or which shall be used for the packaging of explosion
endangered goods must have additional protection fittings and security precautions. These
are not included in our standard delivery scale. If you wish to use the actual machine in an
explosion endangered area or to package explosion endangered goods we would like to ask
you for a written information, indicating the technical relevant data. A modification of the
technical specification has then to be made.

Walking platforms:
The customer will use his own walking platforms, if not
otherwise mentioned in this offer.

Machine equipment:
The machine equipment corresponds to the ROVEMA standard
as well as the European Rules and guidelines.
Possible requested special executions (terms of charge by
customer) do need to be proved and are not included in the
offer.

Easy-Pack
We inform you that the packaging concept Easy-Pack is subject to a patent of Amcor
Flexibles.

Equipment provided by the customer:


Mounting, installation and testing of equipment provided by
customers (e.g. dosing units, coding systems, feeding units etc.)
is not included and will be charged separately upon expense, if
this is not clearly mentioned in the offer.

Marking of electric conductors:


The marking of single wires is done acc. to IEC 60204.1/
EN 60 204.1 with colours (black, brown, red, orange, blue,
light blue and green/yellow). Only wires which are connected
to the main strip terminal will receive an additional marking
with digits.
Differences of these are only possible, if an appropriate
method was defined in written before conclusion of contract and
this is part of the contract/order.
