My Opinion Matters

This activity aims for the students to be aware on how the different Alternative
Delivery Systems are used in education.

This activity will be done by pair. Search for videos that show the use of any
Alternative Delivery System. Write a short review regarding the video of ADS.

Alternative Delivery System: Out-of-school Youth Informal Education

Location: Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

Review:

This alternative delivery model was provided by BRAC University of


Bangladesh. Their target is the youth who lives in remote areas of ARMM, dropouts
and those who can’t afford to enroll in a formal education of DepEd. The curriculum
is highly contextualized since most of these children are Muslims. Parents are also
participating and lending their free time to support the learning facilities. Learning
facilitators are also provided by teacher’s guide make them to realize the proper
method of pedagogy. BRAC also provided manipulative toys and abacus to enhance
and develop the cognitive and problem-solving skills of the child. Teachers are so
happy because of the progress of every child, parents are so happy and appreciate
the effort of every teacher that faces their sacrifices even in harsh climate. The locals
are very thankful that this educational program came to their place because
according to them it changes the future of their children
