Lesson 1  Connect the Greetings, Rules, and Routines (3’)

(Step 1,2): Pre Writing + Interview (20 min)

STEP 1 -Ask the students what today’s topic is. Discuss and explain the topic’s title.
  “What’s the topic of this lesson?
-Explain what the essay will be about. -Talk about the topic and answer any questions
about it.

-Ask the students to read the model presentation, ‘My Dream Job’’.
-Let the students listen to the script ‘My Dream Job’.
-When you talk about dream Jobs: Introduce your dream job in the beginning.

Explain the skills and subjects that you need to study.


End your presentation with what you want to achieve in the future.

STEP 2 Prewriting -Before starting to write about their future jobs, teacher lets the
students know about different kinds of jobs.

-Let them match the job titles with what they do.

-After students know about different kinds of jobs, teacher lets them write about their
dream job.

-Once the desired job is determined, ask them to make a plan for their dream job.

-Questions: ” What skills do you need?” “ What subjects should you study?” “ What
else should you do?” “ What do you want to achieve in the future?”

-After checking the questions related to the plans for their dream job, teacher asks the
students to check or write their own ideas in the blank.
(Step 3, 4): First Writing + Peer Check (20 min)

STEP 3
First Writing

-After students make a plan for their dream job, teacher lets the students write
their first essay about their dream job, using the information in Step 2.

-Let them fill in the blanks with what they need to do for their dream job in step 2.
-Let them use should to say that something is necessary.

STEP 4

Peer Check -Let the students exchange their books in pairs.


-Let them review their partner’s essay and check if the information is correct.
-Let them write down their advice and comments in the check box.
-Peer feedback:
1. My classmate used neat handwriting.
2. My classmate wrote correctly about me.
3. My classmate circled correct words like he/she, him/her.
4. My name started with a capital letter.
5. My classmate used correct spelling.

(Step 5,6): Second Writing + Self Check (20 min)

STEP 5 Second Writing -After getting their partner’s feedback, teacher asks the
students to write neatly about their partner on their textbook. -Let them type the final
writing on their tablet using the second writing. -Let them know that they should use
correct punctuation. STEP 6 Self Check -Let the students read their second writing in
Step 5. -Let them check their essays by themselves. -Self Check: 1. I used neat
handwriting. 2. I used capital letters to begin sentences and names. 3. I checked my
spelling. 4. I checked my grammar. 5. I checked my punctuation.

STEP 7

Presentation -After checking their own essays, teacher asks the students to type the
final writing or record their own voice on the tablet. -Teacher lets them do the
