H&M AQL TABLE REQUIREMENT

Requirement for how to pick samples and take decision on inspections.
It should be read and used together with H&M QC Inspection Manual ,
Nominated QC Manual and H&M Quality System Requirements.

Introduction
This AQL table should be used by H&M Quality Controller, Quality Developer, Product Technician or
Nominated Quality Controller at the Supplier when making Final inspection. It can also in some cases be
used in Inline inspection. All information in the QC Inspection/ Nominated QC Routine must also be
followed.

When an order is rejected inform the result and the action taken to the H&M’s Merchandiser, PQM, Sr.
QC and to the responsible personnel at the Supplier/Factory/Unit.

4. Products sold in packs

When the product is sold in packs, the quantity in packs should be converted into number of pieces.
Example: An order with 5-pk socks – 1232 packs order qty. 5 x 1232 = 6160 pieces.
Following AQL table sampling level I 80 pcs should be checked, and decision taken based on defective
pcs.
The pieces should be taken from different packs according to below rule:

• All colours, sizes, countries must be covered

• < 3-pack: check 1 pce/ pack
• 4 – 7-pack: check 2 pcs/ pack
• 7 – 10-pack: check 3 pcs/ pack
• > 10 pack: check 5pcs/ pack

For COS and Stories orders all other info in COS Quality Requirements should be followed.
