7. PROMOTION

What’s More: Activity 1

PRODUCT: I want my product to be unique among the spectrum. Strong product differentiation
makes your business memorable. The more differentiated your product is, the better it meets
your target audience’s wants and needs, the more likely they are to become repeat customers.

PLACE: Building a distinct product or service and finding its place in the market to experience
my product is not easy. But, by differentiating your products, you can find your customers,
create the products they want, show them what makes you unique, and ultimately grow your
business.

PRICE: Starting with a low range of prices when first opening my business. Selling a similar
item at a lower price can help you to undercut your market rivals and gain a robust competitive
edge. It allows them to set lower prices that appeal to customers who are "squeezed" financially.

PROMOTION: Communicating the distinct features and benefits of your product is the secret to
successful marketing.
Good product differentiation emphasizes the unique benefits of your goods or services. it’s
essential to clearly communicate why your product offers better quality, a lower price, or a more
memorable experience than your competition.

PEOPLE: Product differentiation helps you refine your target audience.

The more research you do and the more you differentiate, the better you’ll understand who’s
actually buying your product or service. Then you can repeat the process to streamline your
target audience even more. Focusing on a niche group of consumers often leads to better sales.

PACKAGING: Visuals. Like nothing else, packaging that has great visuals has the power to sell
products and build brands. After all, most of us rarely buy a product based on advertising alone.
Once we get to the store, it’s the packaging that must close the deal.
POSITIONING: The only way to reach and connect with a customer, the only way to know
what they are thinking is to understand their buying behaviour. For example, the final decision to
purchase a children’s toy isn’t made by the child themselves, but they still have a say in the
overall decision making process.
Therefore the marketing efforts must both grab the attention of the child as well as convincing
the parent or relative that this toy is the best choice above all the other competitor’s alternatives.

Activity 2: Product Branding!

Brand: Art Bar

Reasons:
1. This design lets its logo breathe. If you decide to go in this direction, be sure to leave
enough space between your chosen frame and logo. In essence, allow your logo some
breathing room.

2. Art bar’s design also ensures readability. In order for their logo to serve its entire
purpose, they made sure it’s readable in any situation, for any potential customer

.
3. The logo's background contrast. Following the theme of visibility, another way to ensure
your logo is always ‘seen’ is by selecting a background color that gives enough contrast
with your text. So small, yet so effective.

How will this help me:

This local brand shared some easy tweaks everyone can make to their creation and that will
undoubtedly make a big difference. From the unwritten rules of using margins and spaces to
balancing out the contrast and taglines, these are the rules to help me construct a good logo.

Activity 3: Take It or Leave It!
