1. Presentacion:

Hello my name is Lucia and I’m going to talk about the present continuous.

2. Definicion:

The present continuous is the verbal time that we usually use for actions that are in progress,
that is, that are occurring at the exact moment in which we are talking.

3. Como se forma:

Which the verb to be in present simple (am, is, are) plus the main verb in gerund (ending in –
ing).

4. Estructura:
- Positive: Subject + to be + verb –ing.
- Negative: Subject+ to be + not + verb –ing.
- Interrogative: To be + subject + verb –ing.
5. Exceptions:

Has verbs that doesn´t need –ing at the end of the word. The name of this structure is statics
verbs.

6. Usos:
- Actions that happen at the moment we talk.
- Planer for the future early.
- Action we usually perform.
7. Time expressions.

There are some expressions in present continuous that show when need to use.
