Research methodology
This section explains how the problem was investigated and why particular
methods and techniques were used. The population and sample of the research
should be clearly stated. Choice of variables should be manifest. Instruments of
data collection such as tests/ questionnaires/ interviews etc. should be mentioned.
Also, the reason and justification for choosing these instruments should be given.
All important terms used in the research work should be defined precisely at this
stage.
It is important to provide a complete list of every source that you have used
in you research. It provides the information necessary for a reader to locate and
retrieve any sources cited in your research. Use of references allows readers to
cross-reference your sources easily, and it provides a consistent format to writing. It
also gives you credibility as a writer, and protects you from plagiarism. Cross-
referencing allows the readers to locate the publication information of source
material. This is of great value for researchers who may want to locate your
sources for their own research projects. Use a consistent format of citations and
referencing. Using a consistent format helps your reader understand your
arguments and the sources they’re built on. It also helps you keep track of your
sources as you build arguments.
