What comes into your mind when you hear ‘ Yogyakarta’? Gudeg? Malioboro?
The Sultan palace? Temples? Beautiful beaches? Yes, those are right. However, Yogyakarta has
more wonderful places to visit. If you are in Yogyakarta, you should visit the following amazing
places.

1. The World Landmarks Merapi Park is located at Jalan Kaliurang Km.22,Pakembinangun

Village, Pakem, Sleman. There are many landmarks of the world here, so we don’t need to
go overseas to see and take photos at those iconic building personally. We only need to spend
Rp. 15,000.00 to enter the park. It’s affordable, isn’t it? It opens between 9 a.m. and 4.30
p.m. on weekdays and closes at 5.00 on weekend. It’s closed on Tuesdays.

There are famous landmarks of the world cities in this place, such as the Liberty Statue from
the USA, Wind Mill from Holland, Forbidden City from China and Burj Khalija Hotel from
Dubai. We can take photos with those amazing buildings as background. If we are tired, we
can relax at gazebos or sit on the benches available . We can also have meals in ‘Leyeh –
Leyeh’ Restaurant which offers traditional concept and menu. Everyone will feel relaxed
while enjoying their meals. We only need to spend Rp. 10,000 to enjoy the food as much.

Things we should do is to keep the place clean, comfortable and not to scratch any articles in
the park.

2. The Upside Down World located at Northern Ring Road no. 18 Maguwoharjo, Depok,
Sleman is a nice place to take photos. If we enter this place, many rooms are available to
make excellent photo shoots, such as a bedroom, kitchen, living room, dining room,
bathroom, and warmindo, a favorite place for students to have meals. It opens daily between
10 a.m. and 7 p.m. The entrance ticket is Rp. 80,000.00 for adults and Rp. 40,000,00 for kids
less than 135 cm tall.

This place becomes favorite because all items and articles are arranged upside down. We
seem standing on the ceiling of the room. We don’t need to worry if the items will fall on us
because those are installed tightly. Furthermore, an officer who is very good at photography
is ready to take our pictures. The results are guaranteed.

3. Rumah Kuno Miring or Old Leaning House is also a nice place to take excellent photo
shoots. It’s located at Jalan Wonosari Km. 8, Mayungan, Bantul. It opens between 9 a.m. and
4 p.m. on weekdays, but it closes at 7 p.m. on weekends. The entrance ticket is Rp. 10,000.00
for students and Rp. 20,000.00 for commoners.

Seven amazing spots are provided, such as a living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen,
warehouse and granary. If we’d like to get the best pictures, we’d better have excellent poses,
suitable with the location. For example , if we take pictures in the kitchen, conform our
expressions to the situation when cooking.

As the name indicated, we need to wear clothes that suit the situation. Those are already
available there. We just need to borrow one which suits us. We’ll have amazing experiences
there.
