A PROCLAMATION TO AMEND THE PUBLIC

የ‫א‬ግ‫ـףט ُם‬٤ ጡ‫ ٍנ‬ዋጅ SERVANTS’ PENSIONS PROCLAMATION
ֳ‫ ָד‬የወጣ ዋጅ

የ‫א‬ግ‫ـףט ُם‬٤ የጡ‫ ٍנ‬ዋጅ ‫ּׁש‬ጥ‫ץ‬ WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the
3)#5/09)(5 ‫" ָד‬ፈֶጊ ֲ' (‫א‬ገ)ً፤ Public Servants’ Pensions Proclamation No. 345/2003;

(,ُዮጵያ ፌዴ‫ֶף‬ዊ ዲ‫ז‬ክ‫תף‬ያዊ ‫ע‬ፐ9ֵክ NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 (1)
ׁገ ‫א‬ግ‫ׂש ُם‬ጽ $5/1/ ‫ ُנטא‬የ‫ג‬ከ‫ֳـ‬ው of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of
ٍውጇָ፡፡ Ethiopia it is hereby proclaimed as follows:

ይֱ ዋጅ “የ‫א‬ግ‫ـףט ُם‬٤ ጡ‫ٍנ‬
/እደ‫ֳـ‬/ ዋጅ ‫ּׁש‬ጥ‫ ץ‬6)"3/2ሺ1” ‫ـ‬9ֹ This Proclamation may be cited as the “Public Servants’
ֵጠ‫ "ׂש‬ይ٤ֶָ፡፡ Pensions (As Amended) Proclamation No. 633/2009”.

2. ‫ד‬ያ 2. Amendment

የ‫א‬ግ‫ـףט ُם‬٤ የጡ‫ ٍנ‬ዋጅ ‫ּׁש‬ጥ‫ץ‬ The following new sub-article (4) is added to

Article 13 of the Public Servants’ Pensions
ֳ) ከ‫ׂש‬ጽ 03 ዑ" ‫ׂש‬ጽ /3/ ‫ׂש‬ጥֹ የ‫ג‬ከ
Proclamation No. 345/2003 (as amended by
‫ֳـ‬ው ዲ" ዑ" ‫ׂש‬ጽ /4/ ‫ـ‬ጨ‫ צו‬ዑ"
Proclamation No. 424/2004) and sub-articles (4)
‫ׂש‬ጽ /4/ እN /5/ እደ Oደ‫ـ ו‬ከ‫ֶْـ‬ው ዑ"
‫ׂש‬ጽ /5/ እN /6/ ֲQዋָ፤
and (5) are renumbered as sub-articles (5) and (6)
respectively:

“4/ ‫עט‬ያْው ‫ٍנטא‬ዊ የ‫ֳ ץףט‬ውጥ “4/ Public servants who have served for at least
(‫ד‬ድ‫נ‬ጉ ከ‫ ףם‬እዲ‫ר‬N(ً የ‫ـ‬ደ‫נ‬ጉ 25 years and attained the age of 50 years
ገָግֹٍْው ከ!5 ዓ‫ ُא‬ያֶQ‫ר‬N shall, upon the decision of the Council of
ዕድ‫ה‬ያْው $ ዓ‫ ُא‬የ‫ ֶז‬የ‫א‬ግ‫ُם‬ Ministers, receive retirement pension for life
‫ـףט‬٤ (‫צُ"\ג‬٤ ‫ו‬ክ‫ُ] ץ‬ where their services have been terminated
due to the institutional transformation of their
‫ת‬ወ‫ ר‬የገָግֹُ ጡ‫ ָ( ٍנ‬እ"ከ
employer.” .

4. Effective Date
4. ዋጁ የ‫ג‬ፀN(ُ ጊዜ

ይֱ ዋጅ (ፌዴ‫ ָף‬Qጋ‫ ُע‬ጋዜጣ ٍُ‫ז‬ This Proclamation shall enter into force up on the date
