Yokohama Geolandar G98FV tire

Overview
The Yokohama Geolandar G98FV summer tire is installed in compact and mid-size crossovers.
The HT model is adapted for use on paved roads. Strengths of the tire are its long service life,
fuel economy, low tendency to aquaplaning, and softness on driving.

Benefits
The tread pattern is made in an asymmetric directional design, where large elements
predominate - ribs and blocks. In combination with an optimized tread profile, this guarantees
large dimensions of the area in contact with the road surface. The result is a reliable grip on dry
surfaces. In rain conditions, the tire does not lose contact with asphalt due to the significant
volume, multiplicity, and multidirectional drainage canals.

Another important difference of the tread is the combination of spacious blocks of the shoulder
zones and the central longitudinal rib. Significant resistance to the deformation of these
elements allows you to very quickly and accurately transfer lateral acceleration forces from the
tire to the steering wheel. This greatly simplifies the process of driving while maneuvering, and
with straight-line movement at high speed provides excellent directional stability.

The running part of the tread is made of a rubber compound obtained using original
components. One of them is orange peel oil. It significantly increases the extensible strength of
the compound. As a result, the tire is much better resistant to both mechanical and thermal
stress. Also, the composition of the rubber compound has a large amount of finely divided
silicon. This component allows the tire to fit cozily against a cold road surface, increasing grip in
rain conditions.
