Liturgy of the Word

First Reading

Reader: A reading from the Ephesians:4:1-7

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely
humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit
through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were
called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to
each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.

The Word of the Lord.

All : Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm (To be Sung)

Reader : Let our response be: I love the Lord. He is filled with compassion. He turned to me on the day that I called. From
the snares of the dark, O Lord save my life, be my strength.

All : I love the Lord. He is filled with compassion. He turned to me on the day that I called. From the snares of the dark,
O Lord save my life, be my strength

Reader : Gracious is the Lord and just; our God is mercy, rest to the weary. Return my soul to the Lord our God, who bids
tears away. I love the Lord.

All : I love the Lord. He is filled with compassion. He turned to me on the day that I called. From the snares of the dark,
O Lord save my life, be my strength

Reader : How can I repay the Lord for the goodness he has shown me. I will raise the cup of salvation and call on his name. I
love the Lord.

All : I love the Lord. He is filled with compassion. He turned to me on the day that I called. From the snares of the dark,
O Lord save my life, be my strength

Reader : I shall live my vows to you, before your people, I am your servant. I will offer you my sacrifice of praise and of
prayer. I love the Lord.

All : I love the Lord. He is filled with compassion. He turned to me on the day that I called. From the snares of the dark,
O Lord save my life, be my strength

All : Glory to You, Lord Jesus Christ!

Priest : When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were
locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." After he said this, he showed them his
hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father
has sent me, so I send you." When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.”

Eucharistic Prayer II
Priest : Lord, You are Holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let Your Spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy so
that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Before He was given up to death, the death He freely accepted, He took the bread and give You thanks. He broke
the bread, gave it to His disciples and said:

“TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND EAT IT. THIS IS MY BODY WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.”

When supper was ended, He took the cup. Again, He gave You thanks and praise, gave the cup to His disciples and
said:

“TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT. THIS IS THE CUP OF MY BLOOD. THE BLOOD OF THE
NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT. IT WILL BE SHED FOR YOU AND FOR ALL MEN SO THAT SINS MAY
BE FORGIVEN. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.”

Priest : Let us proclaim the Mystery of Faith.

and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again. Bring them and all the departed into the light of
Your presence. Have mercy on us all. Make us worthy to share eternal life with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with
the Apostles and with all the Saints who have done Your will throughput the ages. May we praise You in union with

Let the hands of time be like footprints in the sand.
As I carry you from the dawn to the setting sun.

Chorus:
With just one hand
We can travel down together,
One life sharing in love;
I will hold you forever,
Yes I love you all my life.

2. There’ll be many crossroads as we walk along the way,

There’ll be many questions as we live life day by day;
But this never matters
Cause we’ll always be there,
We’ll surely find the answer,
Cause we care…. (Repeat chorus)
