Definition of terms
State why the current study is conducted (to fill in the gaps)

Setting
posttest is delayed
Treatment"
Procedure:
Data analysis: SPSS for Quantitative data - Qualitative data : thematic analysis
+Results: Mann Whitney U test used to examine the difference between the experimental and the
comparison groups (writing performance)
"Comparison between pre-test and delayed posttest -> confirm long-term effect
In adapting mixed methods (Quanti + Quali), research should present and group the results according to
the terms "Quanli" and "Quanti" as well. Avoid mixing them up
+Conclusion:
in measuring effects, research can split them into "long-term" effects and "short-term" effects
Limitations (for study) -> Small number ( reduced representativeness and generalisability) + quasi-exp
(not feasible random selection) + short time period for treatment
} Background to the study is of lower hierachy compared to the LR, in writing the length of these 2
sections, the former should be shorter than the latter
} The terms used between each section and chapter should be specific and consistent
} In writing the LR, LR of keywords in the title should be of major focus (more LR needed for keywords in
the title) -> can separate this one in smaller part.
} Your topic, your title should be the major focus of your LR and of your study -> Be consistent
throughout all the study
} Normally, you do not need to include the CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK in experimental study
} In writing the Methodology chapter, researcher should be consistent between what terms and items
put in the previous chapters and this chapter.
} In conducting the interview in L1 (your research is conducted in L2) -> Pay attention to the Reliability of
your interview design
} In Methodology chapter, Results from tests should be in the 4th Chapter (Findings & Results)
} In measuring the scoring gains from participants, state clearly which procedure you use to ensure the
Reliability -> There should be 2 independents scores -> test for correlational relationship -> present
them based on the scoring rubrics
