How to develop a training module.

Introduction
A training module is one structured section of a course it is a building block of any training
program. The content within a training module are designed, and created, to support the learner’s
intake and retention of the information it contains this content item are designed to teach a
specific topics or skill.Grouping training modules together is used to create step-by-step learning.
Each module forms one part of an overall topic, enabling learners to gradually progress through a
course, module by module, to reach their training goals. It’s a tactic that makes training delivered
through a learning management system more digestible. 

Defining Concept
Training is a program or a learning process that helps people to learn specific knowledge or skills
to improve performance in their current roles and module is a mass of homogeneous content
required to explain a topics.

Objectives of training module
Training module are prepared by assessing training needs and through this employees can fulfill
their training needs. Training module determine the content of the training through which the
trainee can develop themselves.
The in general objectives of training module is to develop the knowledge, skill, attitude
competencies of employees so that they can perform present jobs. The basic objective of training
module is to help organization or employee to achieve its goals by adding value to the
employees.
Developing a training module
1. Title of the training program
The name of the training program which must reflect the objectives of the training module. It is
very important to set a logical title in a training module. The title should reflect the main theme
of the training module. Its language should be simple and unambiguous. It should not provide a
confusing meaning. It should be very specific in explaining a particular domain.
2. Overall Description of the Training
Training subject matter, field of training, training plans and schedules, designing and developing
training programs training materials, management overall description of the organization,
regional or branch level necessary information regarding training are mentioned here.
3. Learning Outcomes
Training goals, descriptions of the specific knowledge, skills, or expertise that the learner will
get from training. Learning outcomes are measurable achievements that the learner will be able
to understand after the training is complete, which helps trainee to understand the importance of
the information and what they will gain from their engagement with the training activity.
There are 5 types of learning outcomes
Intellectual skills
With this type of learning outcome, the learner will understand concepts, rules or procedures.
Cognitive strategy
In this type of learning outcome, the learner uses personal strategies to think, organize, learn and
behave.
Verbal information
This type of learning outcome is when the learner is able to definitively state what they have
learned from an organized body of knowledge.
Motor skills
This category is concerned with the physical ability to perform actions, achieving fluidity,
smoothness or proper timing through practice.
Attitude
This is the internal state that reflects in the learner’s behavior. It is complex to quantify but can
be shown in the learner’s response to people or situations.
4. Length of training
Time frame are mentioned in training module, how long will each module takes different times
for different module are also mentioned. Courses should be as long as needed, Shorter is always
better because People can’t hold concentration for much time.

The role of a trainer is to develop a competency and skill sets in trainee to perform his/her
effectively and efficiently in the work place. The trainer should communicate to the trainees
about what is expected out of training in a simple and professional way. For this based on
