Movie title or tv show: Graffiti Wars
Description of its argument: Graffiti Wars is the name of a documentary made by
Channel 4 in England, in which two heavyweights of street art face off: on a corner, the
mythical Banksy, who needs no further introduction; and on the other corner, the
legendary King Robbo, a former graffiti cultist who put his name on the street art map in
the 1980s.
Relation with urban tribes: There are two urban tribes that seek greater recognition and
for that they confront each other.
Personal opinion: It's a great movie because it leaves us a message and shows us the
consequences of not thinking before acting.

Activity 5
1. What do you think about urban tribes?
I think it is good to classify them by groups because that way we can understand
them and I like them because they are not violent, they only pursue their ideals.

2. Would you like to belong to an Urban Tribes? Wich? Why?

I would like Queers, Glams, Otakus because during adolescence, we are all in
search of an identity and they feel represented and protected within their tribe.
They also seek to do so because most teenagers see belonging to an urban tribe
as a sign of good taste, and therefore it is a popular decision. During adolescence,
they seek to fit in with the majority and the urban tribes are the majority although
distributed in the parts. Someone who does not belong to an urban tribe is seen as
an anti social or a weird person. You want to belong to an urban tribe because you
want to have friends and live happily, but subconsciously adolescents are in search
of themselves.

3. What opinion do you have about “Barras Bravas” in Colombia?

I think it is good that they support their preferred team but I do not agree with them
using violence to show themselves superior or better.

Let’s reflect

1. Very good, It is important information because it allows us to learn about history and have
a general culture.
2. Identify urban tribes, which characterizes them, when they emerged.
3. I liked knowing the urban tribes best known to me but that I had never identified.
