“Interning
at
Intelius
summer
’10
was
great
for
my
resume
and
getting
experience
with
a
high
tech
company.
Since
Intelius
is
an
i-‐commerce
leader,
my
work
was
focused
on
driving
more
consumers
online
to
learn
about
the
products.
I
worked
on
a
range
of
social
media
marketing
projects,
and
it
showed
me
how
to
take
knowledge
I
had
and
how
to
apply
it
to
business
and
product
goals.
Like
most
high

The United Nations Office for Partnerships serves as a gateway for
collaboration between the private sector, foundations, and the United
Nations family. It promotes new partnerships and alliances in furtherance
of the Millennium Development Goals and provides support to new
initiatives of the Secretary-General.
In fall 2009, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce formally launched one of the largest
undertakings in its nearly 100-year history—the Campaign for Free Enterprise, American
Free Enterprise. Dream Big.—an effort to defend and advance America’s free enterprise
values in the face of rapid government growth.
The Chamber launched the Campaign for Free Enterprise to affirm the beliefs that the
values of individual initiative, hard work, freedom of choice, and the free exchange of
trade, capital, and ideas can lead America back to prosperity. Only free enterprise can
create the opportunities and jobs that the nation needs.
The Chamber’s Campaign for Free Enterprise and the National Chamber Foundation will
invest more than $1 million during 2011 in K-12, college, and post-graduate
entrepreneurial education by forming new partnerships with Students in Free Enterprise
and the Kairos Society and expanding existing partnerships with the Extreme
Entrepreneurship Tour and Junior Achievement
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing
the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as
state and local chambers and industry associations.

THE ENTREPRENEURIAL STUDIES PROGRAM
The Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Southern California is the first university
center to be recognized as a formal entrepreneurship program in 1971. Since the centers inception, the program has
consistently ranked among the top programs in the nation and has been ranked #1 by Princeton Review and
Entrepreneur Magazine. Business Week with U.S. News and World Report labeled the Greif Center as "one of the
best Entrepreneurship programs" in the country.
The nationally recognized Entrepreneurial Studies Program offers students a comprehensive, challenging and
exciting course of study. Taking an applied approach, it prepares students to enter the business world with an
entrepreneurial mindset and the skills required to recognize opportunity, develop a business concept, test that
concept through feasibility analysis and write a comprehensive business plan.
The program features teaching by a full-time and adjunct faculty who bring a variety of entrepreneurial experiences
and academic expertise to the classroom, supplemented by visits from Greif Center alumni, members of the Greif
Center Advisory Council and other guest speakers. Whether in a full-class lecture setting, small workshops and
seminars, fireside chats or networking events, students have multiple opportunities to meet and learn from faculty,
advisers, alumni and guest entrepreneurs.
The program is dedicated to bringing students cutting-edge information in the field of entrepreneurship. To
accomplish that goal, the program takes advantage of USC’s wealth of resources and technology to bring students,
faculty and alumni together to share information and network in person, through e-mail and on the Entrepreneurial
Studies Program website. Students also enjoy the benefits of technology in the learning environment as they take
advantage of interactive, multimedia educational experiences.

World
Foresight
Forum-‐2011
The Kairos European Summit 2011, in partnership with the World Foresight Forum, will
take place on April 13-15, 2010 in The Hague, The Netherlands. Together, we will select
110 of the most innovative and entrepreneurial students from the United States, China,
India, and Europe to participate as youth innovators during the World Foresight Forum.
Over the course of three days, these current and future world leaders will gather in the
Hague for the opportunity to inspire each other and share insight on handling current and
future global issues. These student leaders will address challenges regarding security and
stability of our homelands in a novel, creative, and open-minded way. Ten students with
the most innovative student startups that strive to change the world will exhibit their
solutions to future global issues in the Expo.
At the Expo, located on the Lange Voorhout Avenue, companies and organizations will
have the opportunity to showcase their mission and values, vision for the future, and the
role they expect to play in that vision. Alongside these groundbreaking companies and
organizations, Kairos Society will provide the chance for the top ten students to unveil
their innovative startups that address solutions to future global issues. To encourage
entrepreneurship, these students will reveal their products and declare their corporate
identity.
Alongside 110 of the brightest students, the Summit will invite 150 prominent leaders
from the distinctive worlds of politics, business, academia, etc. In a series of moderated
fireside chats and plenary sessions, these reputable leaders, with 10 Kairos students, will
meet in small groups to think the unthinkable. These discussions – on security of our
homelands, geopolitical shifts, climate change, resources & energy scarcity, demographic
shifts and leadership crisis of the West – will serve as the first blow to the expert stove
piping that is holding us back from creative, holistic solutions to current and future world
challenges.
In addition to impactful student and world leaders, the Convention will bring together
over 750 participants and 100 Kairos students to participate in plenary and breakout
sessions with the most renowned and compelling speakers in politics, business science,
and government. These motivational speakers will address fundamental issues and
challenges regarding the security of our homelands. Kairos students will have the
opportunity to interact and create innovative solutions with these speakers in the
Convention sessions as well as in Kairos member-exclusive roundtable sessions.
