Type 4100Z WizardR I Gauge Pressure Controller

The Type 4100Z Wizardr I pneumatic controller com-
bines a simple principle of operation and few moving
parts with a rugged construction to make an ideal
pressure controller for demanding installations.
Features
D Corrosion Resistant Latch and Hinges—Nylon
shoulder bearings and stainless steel hinge pins elimi-
nate metal-to-metal contact and prevent corrosion of
moving parts

D Easy to Maintain—Deep-shelled cover allows

easy access to all parts for adjustment or routine main-
tenance inspection

D Easy to Adjust—Controlled pressure setting is a

single knob adjustment. The proportional band is ad-
justed by moving the fulcrum pin along a graduated W5595 / IL

scale.
Figure 1. Type 4100Z Controller
D Easy to Reverse—Just move the orifice block
and fulcrum pin to the opposite side of the flapper and
rotate each 180 degrees

Construction Features
Refer to figure 3.

This proportional controller, when used with suitable

control valves, maintains a controlled pressure within a
set range. This control range is called the proportional
band and may be defined as the change in controlled
pressure required to cause a full change in controller 32A1473–A
output pressure. For example, a controller with a Bour- A1136–1/IL

don tube rated at 6.9 bar (100 psig) is yoke-mounted
