Operationalization of District BE LCP Roadmap: A. Monitoring and Supervision
Operationalization of District BE LCP Roadmap: A. Monitoring and Supervision
Monitoring and Supervision of schools are initiated for the purpose of maintain
and improving the quality of learning of the students and all other factors and affects
teaching and learning in our school system.
That is why Hindang Stand – Alone Senior High School conducted monitoring
and supervision per baranggay in this time of pandemic to ensure quality learning of
our students. We teachers and school head our school visited students and parents to
their respective barangay regularly, collected students’ outputs, disstribute learning
materials like modules and learning activities sheets, supervise ng the issues and
problems of our students. Through monitoring and supervision, the methods and
strategies in teaching during the pandemic time will determine if it is effective or not.

“Education is the most powerful method we can use to change the world,” Nelson
Mandela said. But the present education system has encountered challenges in
delivering basic education caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, where holding of
classes in schools is compromised due to prohibitions following the implementation
of General Health and Safety Protocols such as convergence and face-to-face contact
which lead to change the mode of Learning Delivery.
In our case, we have chosen the modular mode of learning because it suited to the
present local situation of our learners. The teachers printed the Self learning
modules/Alternative learning Modules/Learning Activity Sheets at school. Then, the
school scheduled specific day of the week where the parents claim/return the modules
in their specific barangay hall. The focal person in each barangay is tasked to
distribute the modules. Follow- up and queries were done through group chats, calls,
texts and others.
This new normal is such a great challenge to everyone. A challenge which made
us to do some innovations for the success of the new normal way of learning.

C. Learning and Development
Post COVID-19, we will see the impact of these changes amplified. Navigating
the new landscape will require new cultural reflexes, habits and capabilities. The goal
of learning and development is to align employee goals and performance with that of
the organization. Those responsible for learning and development within an
organization must identify skill gaps among employees and teams then develop and
deliver training to bridge those gaps.
This gap are the reason and motivating factor of every intervention that the
department of education has been doing to develop a strategy to overcome the current
situation and continue the education to all students.
These interventions are as follows:
• Online Seminar (Webinar) for the employees of the organization to boost their
confidence and be knowledgeable enough with the craft that they are into.
• Online Education for the students
• Modular Instruction for the students
• Radio and Television
The Hindang Stand- Alone Senior High School has been compliant to the
Department of Education mandate to roll out or echo the webinar that every school
has been attended for the welfare of all teachers as well as the students.

D. Learning Assessment
One of our goal this year is to create a better partnership with the parents,
community/municipality officials and other stake holders to co-create this “New
Normal”. Our school are asking for their support the Simulation of Learning Delivery
Modalities and Retrieval in New Normal. Also, our school conducted the Parent’s
Orientation and Brigada Eskwela in which this programs’ objective is to build a sense
of community among the students, faculty, and staff by providing opportunities for
introduction, communication, and interaction.

G. Other Emerging Issues and Concerns
This modality made the school face varied issues and concerns. These are lack of
printer and insufficient bond papers for module reproduction. Although the school
receives monthly MOOE fund but still it cannot suffice monthly expenses due to
module preparation.
The school has only one printer that made teachers to use their personal printers
to reproduce modules. For bond papers, the school consume 22 reams every week,
that is 88 reams monthly, that costs approximately Php 19,000. In addition to this is
the printer that costs Php 3,000. These two materials slices is 72% from the school
MOOE.
