1. Introduction

The office in a changing business world. The office place in which the affairs of a business
are carried out. An office is generally a room or other area where an organization's
employees perform administrative work in order to support and realize objects and goals of
the organization. Place where business affairs are handled for a company a professional
person and an organization. “state-of-the-art” mean technologies using the latest technology.
The state of the art is the highest level of development, as of a device, technique, or
scientific field achieved at a particular time. It also refers to the level of development (as of a
device, procedure, process, technique, or science) reached at any particular time as a result
of the latest methodologies employed. This topic eager me to talk about it because during
corona almost offices has been closed.

2. Body

There has been many a definition to define an office. However, in simple language, it can be
described as ‘a place where business is carried on’. However, this is an inadequate
definition because this definition does not take into account the clerical job which is the heart
of the office activity. The meaning of an office has to be clearly understood in common
parlance. The moment you spell ‘office’ it is understood that the business activity, the
accountability and its function, and the clerical activities goes into action side-by-side. In only
a few short weeks, the emergence of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, has created
an unprecedented impact on the way we live and work. While many organizations are
moving to remote work, some companies work with proprietary systems or with sensitive
materials that require employees, or shifts of workers, to be on-premise to get their job done
well. The pandemic has forced the adoption of new ways of working. Organizations must
reimagine their work and the role of offices in creating safe, productive, and enjoyable jobs
and lives for employees. COVID-19 has upended working life, changing how and where
people do their jobs. Twitter and Facebook have both announced they are giving employees
the opportunity to work from home permanently. But not all companies are able to do so -
and with governments across the globe starting to ease lockdowns, minimizing virus
transmission at work is top of many organizations’ agendas.
3. Conclusion

Why office is important and how Covid-19 related to office. The importance of an office lies in
the fact that not only it functions for maintenance of its business, its brand name, and its
equity in the market, but in the fact that it has to be responsible, for a very long time, to
maintain its employees and to retain them for a very long time, not on retainer basis, but on
permanent basis. The socially distanced office happened during covid-19, Homeworking will
continue, but office life - in some form - will, too. The challenge lies in how to adapt
workplaces. It's a way of transforming existing offices into places where the six-feet distance
rule - which governments may continue to mandate - can be observed. The pandemic
already happened but offices work must go on but with safety care and heath wellness.
