Explanantions for Display Functions 2/4


1) Display Start
- All icons, characters are displayed with short beep to check the display when the key switch is activated.

2) Hour Meter
- Display accumulated hours of the key switch-on time.
- Clock Icon is blinking during the key switch activated. If the display is failed,
Clock Icon is always lighted on without blinking.

3) Fuel Level Gauge (for Petrol and Diesel Trucks)


- Fuel level is displayed during the key switch is activated.
- When the fuel is consumed to the bottom bar level, the level bar starts blinking and beep sounds for warning.

4) Coolant Temperature Gauge (blinking & beep)
- Coolant temperature level is displayed during the key switch is activated.
- 3 to 4 bars level means normal operating temperature.
- When the level reaches to the top bar, coolant temperature is approx. 110 centi-degree.
If the coolant temperature reaches 115 centi-degree, the top bar starts blinking and beep sounds for warning.

5) Real Time Clock


- Real time (12-hour style) is displayed during the key swtch is activated.
- Although the clock works during the key switch is turned off, it would be reset to 0:00
when the battery power is disconnected.

6) Battery Charge Icon


- Charge Icon is displayed when the key swtch is in ON-position with engine stopped. Normal Temp Caution Level Warning Level
- When the alternator correctly charges the battery, Icon stays off during the engine is running. (blinking & beep)
- If the alternator doesn't charge the battrey, Icon turns on and beep sounds for 2 seconds.

7) Engine Oil Pressure Icon Coolant Temp Gauge


- Oil Pressure Icon is displayed when the key swtch is in ON-position with engine stopped. Gauge Bar Condition Message Beeping
- When the engine correctly provide oil pressure, Icon stays off during the engine is running. 5 + blink Warning 「!」+「Hi」 beep
- If the oil pressure is not in the specification, Icon turns on and beep sounds for 2 seconds. 5 bars Caution 「!」+「Hi」 -
4 bars ok - -
8) ATF Temperature Icon 3 bars ok - -
- When the ATF temperature is in normal condition, the Warning Icon is not displayed. 2 bars ok - -
- ATF Temp Warning Icon is displayed when the ATF temperature reaches 120 centi-degree. 1 bars ok - -
In the warning condition, the display beeps for 2 seconds.

9) Sedimenter Icon (for Diesel only)


- Sedimenter Warning Icon is displayed when the specified amoount of water is accumulated in the sedimenter.
- When water amount is not in the specified level, the Warning Icon always stays off.
- When water reaches the specified level in the sedimenter, the Icon turns on and beep sounds for 2 seconds.

10) Glow Icon (for Diesel only)


- Glow plug condition is displayed for engine start.
- Glow Icon is turned on for approx. 3 seconds during the glow plugs are heated when the key switch turned on.
- The Icon changes blinking after 3 seconds until the glow operation is stopped.

11) Seat Belt Warning Icon


- Seat Belt Warning Icon is blinking for 10 seconds when the key switch is turned on.

12) Audible Warning Alarm for Key Switch


- If the key switch stays ON position for 3 minutes after the engine is turned off,
Warning Alarm beeps to notify.

13) Message for Service Timing


- When the hour meter reading reaches the specified hours, Maintenance Icon and Message
are displayed to notify the service required.
- Pushing M-button for more than 2 seconds can reset the Icon and Message on the display.

2) Instruction to change Speed Meter and Load Weigh Meter (Optional)

Speed Meter
Controller Constitution
The controller includes drive, hydraulic, steer knob misalignment correction solenoid and display function control in one controller.
And it controls movement judgment of each solenoid and some part of display indication depending on various input orders, input conditions.
Display is equipped with a central processing unit, too, and communicates various data between controllers. In addition, calculat es storage of daily simple service data, too.
It is possible to drive the vehicle even if t here is no communication between controller - displays, nor display failure, but cannot get the service of function selection and setting,
simple management service, speed meter indication, load indication and etc. (Some of the explanations are for optional function)

Display, communication and service management data


Communication
Central processing unit is equipped on both sides of controller and a display, and communicates the setting, an hour meter (speed, mileage) and the adjust value data.
As seven segment letters are used on adjustment screen, will be found a word that is a little difficult to read or abbreviation.
Sorry for your inconvenience but please confirmation in the instruction manual.

Hour, Speed, Mileage data


Display calculates and indicates key ON hour and controller counts (travel)hour and speed indication, (the mileage) and transmit the result to the display, and display it.
(Display memorizes key ON hour as main data, and the controller memorizes mileage, travel hour as main data. Also both memorizes each main data as sub data.
And when change each equipment, get the data from the other.)
Error message
When an error occurred to controller, display, controller attracts error information once, and transmit to display afterwards.
At that time, controller indicates on the display depending on the error warning mark "!" , controller error "Errc" + error code and display error "Errd" + error code.

Error history
When an error occurred, it is recorded in the controller. And it can be confirmed by serviceman mode. There are following two kinds of error confirmation.
① Displays the error that occurred in the past by bit.
② Display newest and controller error maximum 10, and display maximum 5 controller error with date and hour meter value.
Display method is indicates the error code and date (yymmdd) at the time of error outbreak with hour meter value.
A storage of an error memorizes maximum 10 of controller error and maximum 5 of display error.
(as a matter of convenience of display format, need to confirm the error history one by one. )

Switch monitor
In case of performance fault, if set for switch monitor function by serviceman mode, transmit the data (whether be input or not) of each switch from controller to display.
It is the function to make ease the trouble shoot by operating the vehicle, while confirming each input or output status.
It is possible to travel during monitor state, too.

Simple vehicle service management data

In order to figure out vehicle management and operation situation, simple service management data are memorized.
1) Total sum data
2) Data of today
3) Display the data of last 9 days one by one going backward of dates.
Attention 1: The day of no operation = The day as there's no data change, it is not counted and not indicated either.
Attention 2: As each data memorized and renewed at the time of Key OFF, if remove the battery directly, data will be damaged.
In addition, in this case calendar is reset. When a calendar was out of order, date is displayed like E1, E2.
Displays as number from the day when a date was reset.
Attention 3: If clock was out of order, service management data will not accord with real service hour.
(Because the change of a date does not accord with a real clock.)
Attention 4: There can be indicated as 0.0h even if operated.
(Indicates as 0.0h when operation was less than 0.1h )

Starter performance control (neutral start)

AT: Cannot start the engine if F/R lever shifted F or R function. MT: Cannot start the engine does not come in engine if shift lever is not in neutral position.
(CT, foot directional control) if not satisfy the condition of following list, cannot start the engine.

Anti-restart control

Start the starter motor turning key ON to Ign, and after returning the key to On position, even if retry to run the starter motor, cannot run.
In this case return the key to OFF position once, and can make it possible again by operating the key ON to Ign position.

Orbitrol knob disposition correction control


When there was deviation between trail angle and steering angle, function the knob disposition correction solenoid, and correct the knob position.
There is a possibility delay of 35 ± ° degree occurs because of the structure.

ISO 3691-1 Hydraulic valve restriction


If operator leaves from seat, applied to whole of hydraulic functions.
It stops lift, tilt and attachment function forcibly, 3 seconds after the operator left from seat. Therefore, cannot operate hydraulic function; lifting/lowering, tilt forward/backward.
When this function works, indicates the warning on the display.
△1 When the operator seated, this hydraulic restriction will be cancelled.

ISO 3691-1 Travel valve restriction (it is not brake functions)


This functions applied to the travel (drive) system when the operator left form the seat.
In case of AT/foot directional control (CT), it stops traveling, 3 second after the operator left from the seat during the shift lever is in position of F/R either position.
(But there is a momentum travel on a slope.)
In case of AT
Turn off the solenoid for travel, continuously more than 3 second after the operator left the seat during the shift lever is in F/R either position.
Return to neutral function (standard function)
In addition, after travel restriction work, even if operator retun to the seat, cannot drive immediately. Need to return the shift lever to neutral position once,
then operate F/R shift lever.
When these functions work, indicates the warning on the display.
△1 Travel valve restriction will be canceled by returning F/R lever to the neutral position and operator seated.

In case of foot directional control (CT) ; Export only


Turn off the solenoid for travel, continuously more than 3 second after the operator left the seat during the direction controll switch is in F/R either position.
If the operator return to the seat (seat switch ON), immediately makes travel solenoid ON and be able to travel (drive).
In addition, as for the foot directional control (CT) vehicle, the F/R valve turned OFF automatically if operate the parking brake.
When this functions work, indicates the warning on the display.
△1 Travel valve restriction will be canceled by the operator seated.

In case of MT
If the operator left from the seat continually more than 3 seconds, sounds buzzer warning for 6seconds.
When this functions work, indicates the warning on the display.
△1 Warnig will be canceled by the operator seated.

Warning of leaving the headlight turned on


Alarm sounds if turn off the key switch during the headlight on. It is recommended to turn off the headlight when stop the engine for the purpose of protect the battery.
△ 1 This alarm will be canceled by turning off the headlight or turn on the key switch.

In case of duplication of the message, indicates only biggest one. Do not display the amount shown in ( ) mark.
If the hour meter value equates with interval time, alarm sounds for the purpose of confirmation.
If it is within 1 hour, even after cancel the indication depending above process, indicates the message once when the key switch turned on.
Indicates for 3 minutes and return to normal indication. If the password is effective, shifts to interval indication after clearing the password.

Speed meter indication ( clock, speed meter, load indicator can be selected the priority of indication. Refer to the section of operator function)
When start travelling, control the display and indicates speed. Clock are indicated during stop.
Calculate the mileage, and indicates on the display.

Load indicator
Calculate from mast hydraulic pressure, and indicates load indicator.
NOTE ( Important): As it is calculated from hydraulic pressure, the accuracy will be swayed by the condition. Please use it as reference weighting value.
△1 In case of basic setting, load indication is displayed during the stuck is in stop situation.

Operation management data indication and recording (Refer to the operation management confirmation section)
Memorize daily operation (key ON, traveling hour and the distance) with a calendar for the past ten days (include it on that day).

Optional function of standard controller [Reference]

The alarm function of Parking / Leaving from seat


Alarm sounds if leave from the seat after turn OFF the key but without actuating the parking lever.
This is the function that alarm sounds when 6 seconds after leaving the seat without actuate the parking lever.
△1 If the operator seated or actuate the parking lever, it will be canceled.
Need to add parking switch and wire harness, and also need to set the controller.

Seat belt alarm function


Indicates the message and restrict the vehicle traveling function.
Control by the one of selected function; Indicates seatbelt mark/ Indicates seatbelt mark until fasten the seatbelt/ Cannot travel (drive) until fasten the seatbelt.
△1 Cancellation of this restriction; It will be canceled after cretin seconds, fastening the seatbelt and return the F/R shift lever to neutral position.
Need to add seatbelt switch and wire harness, and also need to set the controller.

Speed alarm function


Output to external equipment at the point beyond setting speed.
△1 Speed alarm (depends on the alarm system specifications) will be cancelled automatically if the speed become lower than setting speed.
It is possible to set two speed levels. But when choose it with the overload warning at the same time, can set only one level.
Needs to add external circuit, wire harness and related parts like bracket for external equipment installation ( such as lamp, buzzer) .
And also needs to set the controller.

A load multiplication function


This is the function to multiply load indicator value. Be able to confirm the daily total load in addition to operation management.
△1 Need to add load multiplication switch and wire harness and also need controller setting. (an arbitrary storage type)

An overload alarm
This is the function of external output to make alarm if the load surpass the setting value.
△1 The overload alarm (depends on alarm specifications) will be canceled automatically if the load become lower than setting value.
Need to add alarm equipment and wire harness and also need controller setting.
If need to set 2 level speed alarm, cannot set with overload alarming.

An arbitrary service interval time set-up function


Possible to set the hour meter hour that the customer want to set as a service interval.
Please set the service interval specification depending on the customer's request.
Need to set the controller.

A password entry function


This is the function that cannot start the engine unless a password accords.
△1 Effective time of a password is 30 seconds after confirming the engine start and for 30 seconds after key switch turned OFF.
If the engine does not start, for 30 seconds after key switch turned OFF.
Meanwhile, as the password is effective, re-try of the engine start is possible.
Additional to the operation management, it is possible to confirm total key ON hour, traveling hour, traveling distance of each password.
But cannot confirm daily operation hour of each password.
Need setting of controller registration and password setting.

Controller Setting for Service-man Mode

This material explains functionalities of the controller and display for Service-man such as controller setting, error check and so on.
Before VER 023

How to get in the service-man mode:


Truck key switch is turned off first. Then push 3 buttons and turn on the key switch simultaneously.
Keep pushing the buttons for longer than 3 seconds. Controller software version is displayed with beeping sound as the first screen of Srvice-man Mode.
When you would like to finish Service-man Mode, the key switch should be turned off and reactivated. Screen must be return to the normal display.
