About Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science, was started in the year 1998 with B.Sc.,
programme. It has grown by leaps and bounds over the last two decades in terms of
infrastructure, courses and faculty. The department has 11 Associate Professors.

Now, the Department of Computer Science offers B.Sc(CS), and BCA courses. The
department has well qualified, experienced and committed faculty to provide quality
industry tuned education to the students. The Department Infrastructure fulfills
the requirements of academics, supports Technical Programs and Code learning skills
on the latest technology in the industry.

The students are molded with multi-dimensional skill sets covering all the required
graduate attributes. More focus is emphasized on the practical learning, projects,
and coading. The students of the department get into the industry through
placements majorly and there is a high inclination towards entrepreneurship and
research. Students are introduced to global challenges and encouraged to take up
projects in this direction.

The mission of Computer Science is to educate students in the areas of computer

science by providing best practices of teaching-learning process for careers in
software industry/higher education/research.
