    This study aimed to qualitatively assess the perceived effectiveness and safety of Cassia angustifolia (Senna Makki) in treating COVID-19. The authors conducted interviews with 200 adults in Lahore, Pakistan. Most participants believed Senna Makki to be effective against COVID-19 based on its laxative properties and believed it was safe due to traditional use. However, some were concerned about potential side effects. The authors concluded that while Senna Makki is traditionally used as a laxative, there is no scientific evidence that it treats or prevents COVID-19.
